The Mortgage Free in Three - Take 3 challenge (MFiT-T3)

As I manage all the bills etc & he simply pays me his half each month when I tell him how much it is, I'm very tempted to overrule him and arrange for the maximum over-payments without telling him... Is that very naughty of me? It's not like we're talking about a huge sum of money!
I think that's pretty standard practice around here!Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -

#50 here with my update. Don't fall over with shock because I am actually early this time!
Down to £30,566.50. My standard £500/month OPs aren't going to make me reach my target so I need to stretch myself a bit, which I haven't managed until now. Won't be doing any extra any time soon as I have some rather large unexpected bills to deal with, as well as some expected ones.
Happy Christmas to everyone on here. Let's look forward to a successful 2014.What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -

Number 81 - just added my update to the form.
I think I'm schedule to meet my target by the end of the challenge, but I'm going to see if offsetting or stoozing will make a difference, and then hopefully, I will be able to finish it off earlier!Mortgage started July 2010 = £223,314
Mortgage @ March 2014 = £0

Well not been a great year for paying off the mortgage as we have been focussing hard on the CC debts ( all at 0 % but I want them GONE!) but still under £175k now so feel very pleased.
Here's to some serious debt busting of the mortgage in 2014!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Great news.....:j
I'm out of the starting blocks. I've upgraded a Nationwide Flex account to a FlexDirect account and stuffed £2,500 in there at 5%, so I should be able to at least report that as a starting balance. Need to do some sums / cash flow projections this evening to see if I can afford £600 for two First Direct regular savers at 6%.
Intent to pick up on challenge updates probably tomorrow and Wednesday with the next chart being on the 12th December, ie this coming Thursday.
If you've not put an update in yet, now's the time to do so...
