  • Drama averted. Power went off at mother-in-laws and I thought I'd need to go over and help out.

So, I've quickly collated the updates so far for Chart 03 and updated the bit that the Chart refers to. In other words, your updates are now live...

    Here's chart 03:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?hl=en_GB&key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddE1iTjMwaFQ3Y3EtOS1GQ0NkUnUwdUE&single=true&gid=7&output=html

I've not studied it much as I was trying to get it out ASAP.

As per usual at the point a chart gets published, check your own entry, plus if you spot anything that looks obviously incorrect, PM or post here and I'll address.

I'll pop back later to get Chart 04 out, plus link to charts 03 and 04 in the posts at the start of this challenge thread.

    Happy reading.

  • Hi FB

#146 here. I sent in my Chart 3 update last week via the google docs updates form but it hasn't made it to the chart. Do I need to send it again?

    thanks

  • Oops a bit late posting. But on target and a happy bunny. Hoping that I will be MF by the end of next year.

Ha, just proved that 'numbers' and wine don't mix very well. Marked as updated, but hadn't actually done the update. Applied now.

Also updated for SillySod, Shooting star and Glitterball.

  • Chart 04.
Promised that this evening. Haven't gave this my full attention this evening, but I checked it over the other day and appeared OK.

Should reflect where you need to be and the end of the first year - OMG first year. Has flown.

    So, here is chart 04:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?hl=en_GB&key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddE1iTjMwaFQ3Y3EtOS1GQ0NkUnUwdUE&single=true&gid=8&output=html

You can bookmark that if you like. Should not change.

Eg, I'm pledging to save £30k, but have not put anything down yet, so £30k / 3 (years) means I'll be £10k behind on 12th December unless I get a savings balance in, which I'm hoping to do.

Please keep putting updates in - I promise not to disappear for the next three months! - Any updates for charts 01-03 happily taken and will be applied as soon as I get the time.

Thanks for the support - give yourselves a pat on the back. Well done everyone.

  • I went backwards over the last quarter when we withdrew a few thousand from our OP account to upgrade our caravan - our last one was written off 11 months after we bought it when a small child gouged the side of it with his bike and made it beyond economic repair. The insurance company paid out and it gave us the opportunity to spend a bit more that we had originally and have now got ourselves a van that should last us 8-10 years (while our kids are small enough to want to come on caravan holidys with us).

In the long run that will actually save us money as it will mean less spent on holidays as we won't be going aboard and will have accommodation sorted, but has put us back to a shortfall of £4.5k.

We've also spent the last 2-3 months reevaluating our finances and have started using YNAB. It is amazing and has given us a much better handle on our money and in a few months time will also mean we have much more available for savings and OPing.

I haven't felt this relaxed (unstressed) about our finances for several years. It has also got DH on board being more aware of how much can be spent without having to ask me every time he wants to buy something as he has all the information available to him on his iPhone.

Thanks FB for your effort getting back up to date and I hope you are in a better place now, we're all here rooting for you as you have been for us.
  • FB: Chart4 looks OK for me except it just needs all the "Upd" flags resetting. :-)
    MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%
    Mortgage Free: 1st October 2014 :j
  • #50 here, late with my update, which is terrible, but I was out of the country and didn't have very much access to the internet (can hardy sit in a customer meeting updating my MFiT!)

I'm down to £33,889 now which means I have paid of 10k in the last 9 months.....:j:j:j

Sorry I missed the chart update, but have sent Googledocs update in today.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!
