I think I'm in the yellow if my calcs are right its about 7.2% for me but as i keep up the overpayments & the interest goes down I should catch up.

Just updated will be red but hoping to pay off £20K in the next couple of months when endowment policy matures so will be in the green for the next few updates.

Just need to work out how to keep the momentum going to achieve my target of £90k by the end of the challenge. Think I will need about £500 extra a month on top of normal repayments.

I did it for the last challenge & am determined to do it again & put me on the road to fullfilling my MSE name

Updates at some point this evening. Honest :o

I'm going to put my own balance update in this evening at a big fat zero - my aim is to grow savings, but not until credit card debt cleared.

Have just cleared one of my credit cards today though £4,750 cleared off that card :D

Back to updates. Aim to add in the new challengers first, then the objective updates and then the chart 01 values. Will keep this up to date as I progress this evening.

    Thanks,
    FB.

  • Updated my figures now. Going to be showing the Offset increasing, rather than capital reduce. Capital will reduce slowly, so I'm going to view that as a bonus.

Good luck everyone with your progress.

Just put my update in.. reduced the mortgage/family loan by about £4k in the last few months.

I'm £2k off clearing my part of the family loan so i'll hopefully be able to do this by May, keeping me in the green zone I hope!

Thanks FB for your time in keeping the challenge running x

Just sent my update and resubmitted my start and goal figures as they were not right.

As you may know I have had to take voluntary redundancy from my very well paid job. I applied for 4 jobs and got 4 interviews. Done to today and they have offered my a combination of the two jobs which means its full time. Its a huge reduction in my previous salery but local and I know I will love it.

Do have an interview tomorrow for a 6 months contract job in London which could be amazing so have not accepted the permanent job yet.

Should still be OK for this challenge as my redundancy pay might not have to be used now I can walk into another job.

Need another £760 to have enough to take out my 13/14 cash ISA which I should be fine to do. Then have £15k redundancy pay to invest as well. Thinking of premium bonds as rate are so low and I might want to buy a new car.

Saving lots of money in tax at the moment as I handed back my company car, bought a cheap run around and work are paying me 40p a mile.
