Are we updating as and when we make OPs or on the 12th each time?

I think its the 12th of every quarter aj...I was just so excited I posted the first one I made!! :o:rotfl:

(made another one today but have resisted the temptation to put it on here!!! ;):D)
    Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913
Mortgage OP £50/£600 House Fund £420/£5000
  • I'm just looking at this challenge. First order of the day is challengers who don't have an objective.

Currently it looks like three challengers don't have an objective...
    32 - skaps
    51 - someday soon
    108 - taka

They may be embedded somewhere in this challenge thread or via a PM. Via the update form is preferable, as it's easy to locate.

If you get the time, can you set an objective please?

    Much appreciated,
    FB.

    Hi aj,
Quarterly. If you use the form and click on the provider chart update radio button, it goes to a page where another list of radio buttons are present for the various charts. I've put the chart dates on there too.

  • Diary links - these take a few extra minutes to do. Check link, edit post #1, click on link button, add in HTML anchor link, save etc...

I've been putting these off for some time, but you will be pleased to know I've just done a batch of 20+ so if you have previously supplied a diary link in the update form, then post #1 in the challenge will now link to it. I'm now do these as and when new challengers turn up, so that they don't get backlogged.

I've also done the few updates received via PM and google docs, so for once in this challenge, I've nothing to do just now...

Thanks for your support and patience...

Hi all, just popping in to say good luck everyone. Can't wait till the first update!

I've tweaked my starting point my payment for this month hasn't come out yet and I've made a few bits and pieces of overpayments over the last month, so it is a bit higher than I thought it would be, but not too much.

    £19,581 to go.
    :)

  • Wow just checking in, I can't help but wonder at how much will be paid off at the first update! It is so exciting. DH and I went out shopping this morning for a few bits and pieces and we went to get cards and for the first time ever he said we can't afford Clintons prices we have a mortgage to pay. This will be the cheapest Christmas ever.

I am a veggie and so DH got a M&S dine in for a £10 for the glazed ham for Christmas dinner, last year he got a free range turkey crown which was considerably more. We are also hoping for a nice holiday too so need to be extra careful.

I've been a little slack with the finances recently so looking forward to a fresh start come 2013.

Have updated my exact starting figure at 12/12/12 - £23,321.82 of savings/net assets and hoping to reach £60k by the end of the 3 yrs with a mixture of savings and mortgage overpayments. As I'm looking to either move house or buy an investment property during the challenge I thought I'd best not complicate things with several challenge numbers!

Anyone else on their own in this challenge rather than part of a "we"? Always seems so much harder going on your own :-(

Anyway, looking forward to the March update! :-)
