    Morning everyone,

PP hugs to you and your friend.

sistercas and Halight I love being the only one up in the morning.

We had a great day out at Skegness yesterday despite the weather. We all went for a paddle and then straight to a cafe for a cup of tea!
The girls had a brilliant time on the fair and the penny falls.

Today is a lot quieter, DD2 is helping at church holiday club this morning and I am having a cup of tea with at least 2 different people.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all,
Had a lovely day out yesterday with other half and his family for his brother's birthday. They are a really lively bunch and it was good to be in such cheerful company after a difficult few months here.
Today there's errands to run, a couple of hours to spend in the office finnishing something off and a trip to the gym. I don't know if it's an old wives tail, but the damp really does seem to make my arthritic hip and back worse and I'm hoping that more trips to the gym (doing what the physio showed me) to strengthen the muscles will relieve the aches a bit. The painkillers the doctor gave me really zonk me out and nothing gets done, so I try not to take them unless REALLY neccessary.
Getting ready for holiday by ironing remaining stuff and locating things like travel sickness tablets (sea crossings and me can get messy!), adaptor, various chargers etc etc. Most important is deciding what books, sewing and knitting to take (grin).
Lunch will be baked potato, cheese and salad (using stuff up) and dinner will probably be some sort of hash.....I have a few HG potatoes left in the ground, some chorizo that's open and needs using, some veg that needs using and can always buy a tin of baked beans. That should do tonight and tomorrow night.

The Formula 1 races start again tomorrow after their summer break, so am planning a very lazy day tomorrow based around being glued to the TV for qualifying tomorrow!

    Have fun all.

    morning!

freezing here last night and this morning! hate it as mt Reynauds is already playing up and my fingers were white and numb yesterday morning and evening:( am thinking of buying some silk motorbike gloves to use as liners for my other gloves/mittens to see if that helps.

Off to do my cleaning job shortly - this will pay for me to have my haircut next week:)

Have had a tidy and clean - did the tops of the kitchen cupboards this morning - yuk, doens't half get grubby up there.

    Pasta bake for tea.

    Bitsy - :silenced: don't mention the C word yet!;)

    Morning :hello:

Oh I love autumn, it's my favourite season :D

I was cold yesterday, I was wearing two pairs of socks and my big cardi and still couldn't warm up. Had to put the heating on for an hour this morning.

Mr tru said last night that he'd bought me something for £20 and he'll need help getting it out of the van. Bad mood plus TOTM had me thinking "it'd better be a bloody great big bar of chocolate". It wasn't  It was two little chests of drawers and a laundry basket :D I have no idea where to put them so they'll probably stay there for a week with everyone moaning that they can't get to the light switch :D

Pepper hen is broody. There are five nesting boxes in their shed, she's only using one but screeches loudly and makes a huge fuss if one of the others dares to come in to lay. Bit of a drama queen, that one. Two others are moulting, so egg production is down to six or seven per day.

The yogurt maker is earning it's keep - it's been on every day for over a week. The trus have got fed up with potato salad and turned their attention to yogurt. If they would just eat a bit of everything all the time, rather than go mad on one thing at a time, life would be easier :D

The rain is nowhere to be seen this morning so I'll be out in the garden again.

Lamewolf I saw this pic on FB the other day and thought of you, it's so cute and I HAD to save it :D

    Morning everyone who follows/before/crosses

Do you mind if I join in, I've been reading what you are all up to for quite some time and I really like the friendliness of everyone.

Today DH is going to take the kiddies out for a long walk so I shall have a couple of hours "me" time :]]

There is plenty of housework to be getting on with before then and I plan to iron whilst everyone is out whilst watching Downton Abbey 2 I've been saving it to watch before the 3rd series starts.

    Have a good day everyone

    Welcome helenjelly
I have been washing this morning, because it is dry and bright but very chilly, I hate having it on airers. DH is talking about building a canopy over the patio so that I can leave it out in all weather. Would prefer a conservatory or a sun room ;) Oh well it might come one day.
DH has college induction today and as I foresaw yesterday DD and her BF did come home last night, sods law :rotfl:Bless him he is really down, he went for two jobs and didn't get either one, but he is still looking.
DH needs to clean the oven for me again, so that is his Saturday sorted :rotfl:

  • Oh nearly forgot, I got some great fleeces in Aldi, Bitsy, they have not come back in yet, but I will let you know when they do. They are really thick and heavy, plus they are bigger than the cheap ones and wash up lovely, I have had mine for a year now and they are still like new. I think that they were £8 each. I have started buying the best I can for the house now, things that will hopefully last for donkeys years.

    Morning Halight and all,

i was awake quite early this morning but struggled to wake up if you know what i mean. Still, I'm getting there.

Garden duties done, washer on, vacuuming downstairs and kitchen floor done and i'm having a break before i start upstairs.

I do wish my husband wouldnt share my phone number with the lads on the building site where he is working.... i had a rather odd request this morning for cakes.... I said i'd send him a chocolate bar and be done with it!:D I sent the lads a huge rhubarb crumble once and they havent let me forget it.:o

Tea tonight will be fish i think. We havent had it for a while (and i need all the brain food i can get).

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all,

Bright and breezy here this morning, did ok in the lounge yesterday, but work had to stop when dd came home from work with a severe migraine, she has never had one that bad, she could not see, and her speech went all funny, it was really scary, she has not had one for ages, so had started to slip back into having cafinated tea etc, it will all have to stop again, I have left her in bed this morning.

So work will continue today, we are so nearly there, like you sistercas, just odd bits to do.

Will go and hunt some washing, more rain due tomorrow, dinner tonight is meatalls with pasta.

Bitsy have a look on ebay for some fleece xx

    Have good days all xx
