Yodel are a total waste of time! I'm still waiting for them to collect the faulty Kindle Amazon have requested I send back - 3.5 weeks I've been waiting and I'm now on my 12th 'we'll collect on this date'.... They never turn up..........

I also ordered a TV from Tesco Direct, dispatched via Yodel, give them their due it arrived the next day but in about 15,000 pieces where it had been dropped and the frame completely smashed...... I'm now waiting for them to collect this as well....

Best of luck sorting this out.

We came home from holiday a month ago to find a large (and very heavy) box plonked on our doorstep - such that we could not open the door without moving it.

Anyway the box was soaked, and the label barely legible. All we could see that Yodel had delivered it, and it certainly was not for us.

We tried contacting them via email, but as there was no tracking number this did not work. We could not find a phone number anywhere - one we found of the internet was no use.

Its still on my doorstep. My building work starts soon, so if Yodel have not reclaimed it, then it will going in the skip (or more likely, to a charity shop). I have spent enough of my time trying to sort this out.

I'm new here this is my only ID ask a mod/admin of this site to check my IP address to see that I only have one ID on this site.

I'm genuinely waiting for my parcel to arrive. Yodel I've had enough of their poor service and their excuses, I've been calling and they just don't give a straight answer.

I was just going to tell the person who started this thread my address to see if they had my parcel. I know that it might be the remotest possibility that this person may have my parcel but atleast it's a try. If they do have my parcel, then well I'll make it my own expense in travelling over to wherever it is to collect it.

Randomgirl - you can send Humphrey10 a private email via this site & he can reply the same way.

Click on his name on any of his posts here and the email option will be there. Certainly worth a try, personally I'd give part of your address only (postcode perhaps), if I were Humphrey10 I wouldn't want you doling out your full address to me in the first contact.

I think it's admirable that Humphrey10 and Davidlizard are both attempting to return the mis-delivered parcels, IMO half the population would just keep them! I'd be furious if I was DavidL, a parcel sitting on your doorstep for goodness knows how many days is a clear indication that you are away, lucky you weren't burgled.

Though I don't think it's exactly legal, I'd be inclined to open them and see if the actual supplier info is in there (assuming it's not on the outside), then contact them direct. The supplier may be less difficult to contact via email than Yodel, or delivery reference numbers for Yodel may be contained inside to make emailing them easier.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.
  • I don't think new members can send PMs so perhaps Humphrey10 can contact randomgirl with a contact email or phone number to establish comms.

Why not attempt to make things easier by contacting either yodel or the recipient and let them know what's happened.
I have contacted the sender, they will sort it.

I didn't realise the name on the plastic bag covering the parcel was the name of the company that sent it, it's a generic kind of name and was a company I hadn't heard of, I thought it was just the manufacturer of the bags. Hence why I made this thread. But since Googling the name on the bag it must be the sender.

Randomgirl has sent me a PM, it's not her parcel sadly.

You can call Yodel free on: 0800 1577777

When it asks you for an 8 digit reference number just hit '#' 8 times and you will be transferred to a Yodel agent.
  • I had a parcel, left on doorstep, yesterday from Yodel. The address is mine on the lables, but I haven't ordered anything to be delivered. Website crashes when I attempt to advise them from their contact link, and the 0800 number cuts off when I enter the delivery number. I can't do much else can I?
