BA or easyjet delays

There is no getting away from the fact that BA can and has been known to deploy wide body aircraft on short haul routes when problems occur
There is no getting away from the fact that despite having massive resources available, BA still has a delay/ cancellation rate which is no better than that of the low cost airlines.0 -

What is the comparison with getting passengers to their destination post cancellation/delay?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
That will most likely vary greatly depending on where you get stuck. From FCO, I'd give the edge to EJ for the reasons mentioned earlier though if you take the LHR flights into account, there's probably not a major difference. From many airport, however, BA will have the edge since they generally run a higher frequency of flights compared to EJ.0

Personally the main thing that puts me off travelling EZY is the massive queue I need to stand it at boarding time in order to have a good chance of sitting next to Mrs Joe on the flight. With BA you can remain seated until the last minute and still sit together - no rushing, pushing or shoving
Hopefully this will be fixed when EZY go for allocated seating on all flights0 -
BA for me every time. I got dumped in Paris on a Sunday evening by EasyJet - next flight they could offer me was Tuesday! I arranged alternative flights myself, which they did eventually pay for, but had to go back to a different airport (Heathrow) to where I'd parked (Luton). No compensation from EasyJet for either getting from Heathrow to Luton or for additional car parking charges incurred.0

If price and times are similar then I'd choose EasyJet. The worst delays and worst customer service I've ever had have been with BA, whereas EasyJet have been reasonable on their timekeeping and very helpful when I've had problems (such as missing a flight from Berlin due to railway problems, and EJ providing a seat on the next day's flight at a very reasonable price).0

I would choose BA purely because I would
Get TP's and avios. Blast that FF program, makes it impossible to fly with anyone elseThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
When easyJet cancelled my flight from La Rochelle to LGW, the people towards the front of the queue were booked on flights for two days later, I was booked on a flight the next day because I was prepared to fly back from Bordeaux and asked for that alternative.
It is useful to have a bit of knowledge about other nearby airports that could be a back up.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
The OP announced his/her decision in post 7 but it has been amusing to read the subsequent posts. I must be easily amused.0
