You didn't have to pay out anything.

Nope they have done it to all their previous customers,...

That's only what the Bank of Cyprus told you. You might well have been singled out for an ID Check for some reason or another, but don't want you to know that, for fear of 'tipping you off'.

Do you read, I paid £6.95 out?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

From a year ago, don't think so.

    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

So? That was a stupid thing to do and has nothing to do with the Bank of Cyprus.

As has already been said, there was no need to order a credit report (let alone one at the inflated price of £6.95). The fact you did it is irrelevant.

May be you think not enough, chanz4.

Imagine: The Bank of Cyprus got a request that looked as it came from you (your name / DoB / address / account number etc). To satisfy the request, they had to carry out a credit search, and "you" authorised that request.

This is just one of the possible scenarios under which they made a credit search on your account.

    Think again.
