They were taking them off the shelves in my local store (managed to get the last 8 boxes) & a few others have reported the same thing happening in their local stores, so it seems it was a pricing error...... glad I got 27 boxes today (7 very happy cats), have saved a fortune :j

My cats seem to have an in built sensor that lets them know if their food comes from a can and they then wont touch it!!
Mine are the same. the person who said they didn't know why we just buy tins doesn't know fussy cats
:rotfl: I waste money buying tins and they will starve themselves!

We have 9 cats and buy tins in bulk from Costco - we put down 3 tins twice a day so around 180/month, usually Felix in jelly. Pouches would be way too expensive for us. We tried them on own-brand tins but the supermarkets just don't stock enough for us to get a month's supply in one go, they won't deliver that amount, and the cats don't like them anyway. We don't put down any dried food since the oldest nearly died from a blocked urethra and we were warned off by the vet. It seems to be the right amount for them all - doesn't stop them whining for whatever we're having though!

That happened to one of my cats, he had to have a tube on his willy and blood drained into a bag, was awful, thought he was a gonner at the time.

  • we changed to a high meat content wet food when our cat was still quite young- we buy it online and because it's quite dense she doesn't need as much as we thought she would, it's not that expensive really I think it works out roughly the same as buying whiskers etc but I think it's much better for her- certainly on the times we've run out and given her whiskers instead you can really tell the difference in her- really lethargic and smelly!!!

the one we buy is called Bozita but there are a few decent high meat content brands out there if you look online- and bulk delivery has never been an issue- in fact to take advantage of good offers we tend to buy 1-2mths worth at a time.
