  • ChopinonaBudget - sounds like an essential to me too (I have a "pet pot" which I put a set amount into each month - count the day that I put it away - but not each individual purchase. Great for NSDs but also means I can bulk buy when stuff's on offer - with my gang every penny saved is really worthwhile!)

Hope Mrs Bunny's on the mend soon - it's awful when they're not well.

  • That's exactly what I said to my bunny this afternoon, marmite!

That's sounds a brilliant idea, rises :) I've not been very good with pots in the past as I have a tendency to raid them :o
But it might be worth me giving it another go...

I dont do pots for bigger things but I do have a wee pot of loose change that I use for wee spends to help me on the NSD trail.

kerri~The really good Mr M offers only last a week so you need to be quick of the mark really quick~ just so you know.

Annoyingly I only go past a Mr M once a week usually, and it's about a 30 mile round trip otherwise. I've had some good deals in there before so hey ho - you win some you lose some
Ohhhhh need to see how you do that ..... DM loves them (and so do I!), so it would be a great birthday present etc for her!:D

I didn't even realise that you could do that, thanks Kerri!:T

The HBs are doing a tour next year, check your local theatres for listings
    + other snippits....

dont stress yourself about not sleeping because you will only not sleep more. do not make your bed associated with not sleeping either - very bad habit. if you cant sleep read a nice book for 15mins and then try again. if you would like more tips let me know, i have tried them all and the above was the best along with a strict routine.

your health is most important thing, i know it maybe hard but you need to rest and let everyone know that.

having gone through a very bad case of insomnia where my body from the stress of no sleep developed a blood disorder.

Thanks CK and all the others who are warning me about burning out, thankfully I do know there is a light at the end of the tunnel (although unfortuntely all the 'normal' stuff that isn't getting done is kinda building up at the entrance) - let's just hope the light isn't the big train heading towards me :rotfl: Seriously though, I know this is only a short burst of manicness. Oddly enough reading doesn't often help me sleep (apart from one very boring book i read that sent me off in 2 pages every time, took me ages to finish it) If I read before bed my mind goes into overdrive thinking about the book - perhaps I just need a good whack over the head to put me out :D

Nargle - great to see you (and Igor) back - any chance of Igor mucking out Hubert's room btw?

Well not a NSD for me and I don't care a jot :p It was my b'day so had lunch with the girls at Spoons (no, the wortherspoons, not Spoonys :rotfl:) then the chicken man was at the market in town so got 8 x mahusive free range chicken breasts for £10, of and some foundation primer from B00ts (need the trowl from BnQ to put it on with now I'm a year older :rotfl:) Had cake made by my friend whom I'm going to see the HBs with next year.

Off to pole this evening (although I am suffering from boot camp :o) and played pole-style party games and had yet more cake (my friend had made cup cakes with pole dancers on - bless her :A) got lots of lovely presents including quite a large amount of smellies (reckon folks are trying to tell me something? :rotfl:) and am now pooped. Sorry, rather longer post than I planned. nite all

:j:j Well done! I have no idea how many I have either :o.. must do a clear out & see if any are sellable!

Thanks rising x Now that's an idea, I hadn't thought about that. I'm sure I've got a few buried that I've only used once or twice, in fact, I know I have :o:o I'll see if I can get something back for them
    :D Oh I'm so hoping so:D
You may find it takes a couple of weeks but I'm sure you'll see an improvement, fingers crossed anyway x

Thanks to those who enquired about my eye appointment at the hospital yesterday. I had adult squint surgery on my left eye 13 days ago. The good news is that the eye positioning is now perfect but I have randomly picked up some mild conjunctivitus along the way... hmph.
That's great news about your eye alignment flubberyzing :j:j:j not so good about the conjunctivitis but that will clear up in time. Hope things get better for you soon x

NSD number 4 for me today. Actually amazed as I had an awful day at work and was so close to staying "stuff it" and buying a few wee things to cheer myself up :o
Well done for resisting debtbegone, that's some willpower you've got :T:T:T
I'm self declaring a NSD 1 today. You might think otherwise!!! I had to buy rabbit food this morning, as my bunny is still not eating properly, and I'm desperately trying to find something that will tempt her into eating a full bowl of food and put some weight back on. So under the cirumstances, I'm not really counting this, in the same way I wouldn't count it if I had to buy medication for me or my daughter.
I did resist buying anything other that the food though, not a coffee in town, not a choc bar, nothing :T very unlike me, especially considering I spent the entire morning and half the afternoon walking home 3 miles from the school run, pootling round a city centre sorting out odds and sods, and took a bus out to a huge out-of-town retail-park (for the pet-shop)
Nope, I agree entirely ChopinonaBudget. Emergency food for a poorly bunny does not constitute a spend in my eyes. Poor bunny, I too hope you've managed to tempt her into eating something and she's on the mend soon. Animals are such a worry when they're poorly:(
    Hugs xx

And thanks to Fae for the fabby update :T:T:T:T I can see you're a natural at this :)
