Personally I went to a wedding where there was no DJ and as much as I am sure some people do excellent music themselves there was very little choice on the Ipod(about 12 songs) and the sound system only played at one end of the room (the seating end) and then the 'dancing end' was really quiet and you couldn't hear the music. Also think lights are a big consideration as they do add alot to the atmosphere.0

The dj was ok, hardly anyone danced though but we had a great time esp considering we almost had no wedding. Glad all the wedding stress is over now though.0
