fly cruise plane arrival time

I am thinking of going on a cruise, flying to Majorca to board the ship.

I noticed that the plane arrives at 22:35 and the ship sails at 23:59, is this a long enough time to get from the airport to the ship and what happens if the plane is late, do they delay sailing the ship?

    Have you asked the company?

Is the flight part of the package or are you buying it separately on your own?

Even if it is part of a package that arrival time is far too short

I don't disagree though if the company offers the flight as part of the package at least there might be some sort of system to deal with delays and the OP could contact them for answer to his questions.

which cruise, chances are it is Thomson

If this is Thomson cruise with a Thomson flight then it will(99%) be OK.

the reason the ship is leaving late is for all the regional flights to get in they will keep the ship unless the flight is cancelled.

1.5 hours is plenty of time.

    edit:
One other thing 23.59 is probably a place holder to keep the day correct for the real time which will be the next day would mess up the searches/computers etc.

If the airline has specifically scheduled that aircraft then it should be ok

However I reckon that is a little late for them to use that sort of flight time

If it is a package deal with flight included they will delay the sailing if there are flight issues. If you are doing it DIY don't even think about it!!

I agree - the port is very close to the airport, an hour and a half should be plenty of time.

    Even better, it is Thomson.

and the flight is part of the holiday.

I have not decided to go with Thomson, I am just researching.

I was thinking of sailing from Southamton but getting there from Scotland costs almost as much as what this cruise costs.

If I was to fly to Southampton I am just as well flying to the Canaries or Majorca.

They may delay, but they are not obliged to.

If it's a package with flights included and the flight is delayed they can choose to sail without the missing passengers and then arrange for them to catch the ship at the cruise line's cost.

For the passenger it'd mean a late arrival, overnight at the embarkation port, back to the airport to catch a flight to the first port of call and then on to the ship. The passengers shouldn't have any additional costs but they would lose part of their cruise.
