Zonealarm 7

Just had a message that Zonealarm 7 is now available for downloading. Know that it has been out for a while. Is it now okay to download it and use it? Was wondering, if any, bugs has been ironed out.

Hi,

I had ZA Free on my previous computer with no problems. I've been thinking of downloading it to my new computer for some time now, but read so many negatives on the forum it put me off, I was waiting to see if all bugs were sorted out. Still only using Windows firewall, so maybe should give it a try.

i've been using zone alarm free for several years and never had any problems with it , it's probably better than the one that comes with windows

I got ZA pro 6 and received a message like yours and downloaded it. But it crashed my computer!!! Goneback to system restore and re downloaded ZA pro6.Everything seems to be fine.Mind you this is my experience and awaiting to hear from others.

Currently running the free version Zonealarm version 6. Have ran zonealarm for a few years without any mishaps. It is just that i read somewhere ZA v7 was out few months ago and there was some bugs present. However i did download it to my harddrive but did not load it up. That version was 70_302_000. The latest download is version 70_337_000. Just want to make sure it is okay and stable to run

Yes I too have downloaded 70_337_000 (Version 7) this morning but waiting to see others reports before installing.

I downloaded ZAP v7 a week or so ago, and had problems installing it. But then when I tried a clean install, having deleted the version which was active, it seemed to install ok. I did get help on these boards, and was grateful for it. Having solved the problem before getting help from the Support team at ZA.

I just installed the latest update yesterday and it installed some mail filtering program in outlook even though I only chose the free firewall only. That would be bad enough in my view but it's constantly making my pc hang. I've used zonealarm for years but today I'm going to try comodo.

Unless anyone knows how to completely remove that Mailfrontier program without removing zonealarm?
