:rotfl: Well, ZoneAlarm 7.0 sure degraded my configuration. That's why I downgraded back to 6.5.0 -
But if I want to go back to an earlier version ie 6.5 and I do as you've said, won't that delete all my other versions of ZA?
If so, how do I then reinstall the one that worked ie anything OTHER than the new version 7! Thanks.:o0 -
Also how do I set about getting back my inbox that seems to have disintegrated when I installed v&? If anyone refers me to the "restore point" please explain in detail. I've seen it referred to and understand exactly what it is but not where to find it and how to do whats necessary. I'm running Windows 2000 by the way. Many thanks.:rolleyes:0

I`ve just installed Comodo and it`s up and running but I`ve got a pop-up from Windows security centre warning my firewall isn`t on.
Any advice
Hi,
it may be that Comodo has disabled your Windows Firewall, it's not recommended to run two firewalls. Read this from Microsoft:
Q. Should I use both the built-in firewall and a software firewall from a different company on my Windows XP computer?
A. No. Running multiple software firewalls is unnecessary for typical home computers, home networking, and small-business networking scenarios. Using two firewalls on the same connection could cause issues with connectivity to the Internet or other unexpected behavior.
One firewall, whether it is the Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall or a different software firewall, can provide substantial protection for your computer.
Have a look in Control Panel at Security Center/Windows Firewall.0 -

You want to clean your comp of all traces of ZA before you re-install the older version, so yes, it will delete your older versions.
Once you've followed the clean un-install instructions above, download Version 6.5 and re-install.Dave. :wave:0 -
All instructions followed, new ZA removed and old (6.5) reinstalled and everything fine. Phew:dance: Even my mail has reappeared.:T Cant say how grateful I am for all the responses. Thanks y'all.xx:j0

I also downloaded ZA 7 about 5 days ago, this morning my boot time was over 15 mins every mouse click took ages to respond the HDD activity light was running for ages I eventually uninstalled ZA 7 after checking their forum it does not appear to be a very good version. Still you get what you pay for and ZA is free."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0
