You should write to the car park owner, advising them that they’re "jointly and severally liable" for the actions of their agents and that any further actions by the private ticketing company would be regarded as harassment under the terms of The Protection from Harassment Act 1997. This ought to make the car park owner call off the private ticketing company and, maybe, also realise the potential cost of doing business with one.
There’s no point appealling to the private ticketing company. They usually reject them. What’s in it for them to let anyone off?The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Just got home to find a parking ticket notice from excel in my post. This was from stockport peel centre. sorry to ask, but should I pay this parking fine? It was on a bank holiday and i was told that all parking was free in stockport as a bank holiday. They also have new pay and display sighs, but again was told stockport parking was free on a bank holiday:eek:0

@twinnie. This thread is almost 10 months since the last post on it. Some of the information on here will have been superseded by more contemporary advice.
You do need to both ignore anything you've read on this particular thread and DO start a new one of our own so that up-to-date advice directly related to your circumstances can be given.
Put up your own thread and stand by.........
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
