Sainsburys Grocery Delivery - Online

Just thought it was time to post a review on Sainsburys grocery delivery service - having used them now for the past 2 months.
Brief backstory - I have used Asda and Tescos before - both were terrible with not having items, making poor changes and the delivery drivers generally being sullen and grouchy.
Sainsburys, on the other hand, have been great. In 15 weekly deliverys, I have had 2 changes, both of which were perfectly acceptable and have had 1 single egg broken (todays delivery) to which the delivery driver stated that is was their issue to deal with as they had to take responsibility as it may have been broken in transit, and thus gave me a full refund for the item. (but let me keep the eggs) :T
The delivery drivers are always up for a chat and friendly, even on a bank holiday delivery. So, thanks to Sainsburys and their Chelmsford store in particular, keep up the good work!

It's nice when things go right for a change. Why don't you email Sainsburys and tell them too?0

Sainsbury's are head and shoulders above Asda and Tesco when it comes to deliveries...we never use anyone else.0

Yup, I've never had a grumpy sainsburys delivery driver and I live on the 2nd floor no lift! Part of the reason I get it delivered is so it gets lugged up the stairs for me :T I usually get a little chat too, yesterday the driver was telling me about a police chase he almost got caught up in on the way!
Tescos on the other hand.....moaned and whined about it and dumped my shopping at the top of the steps without stepping foot on my floor, plus the prices are often a con.
Asda, I've never tried I'm just too worried about them taking two charges for my shopping as I've heard this happens a lot and often I barely have enough money for one shop not two so just can't afford the risk.
Iceland aren't bad, friendly enough but often in a hurry. I don't expect 5 star service for free delivery tbh so as long as the jobs done ok i'm fine with that:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
My lovely Sainsbury guys even stop to tickle my cat - who LURVES sainsburys cos they bring her sweeties:T, they are really nice and a credit to sainsburys.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

To all,
I'm an online driver for Sainsburys and been so for over 5 years. Please please, tell the call centre via phone or email to praise the drivers. We always get moaned at when are not right so when a nice email or phone call is logged praising the service it usually results in a little reward for the driver. Usually a voucher from the company. It helps to show we do a good job to our managers.the most common comments from customers are bad ones. So tell the call centre.
For the one who on second floor without a lift, the drivers must like you as usually we aren't allowed to do such drops (i do them if customer is nice as well)
One thing, if the weather is hot maybe offer a cold glass of water? Usually makes the drivers day!!!!0 -

I'll definitely be doing that if I get a standout delivery person. It's hard because they've all been so good. :T
Hadn't thought about offering a drink either..0 -
Glad to see some of the Groceries Online drivers are doing a good job, sounds like they're a credit to they're store.0

have also used both sainsburys and tescos, sainsburys are far better, the drivers are friendly and cheerful and i also have had eggs refunded and then given the rest.
only go back to tesco when they send me a voucher to use, miss the clubcard vouchers a bit though.0 -

No driver has ever mentioned about the stairs being a problem, they just deliver as usual, I suppose it helps that they are wide and easy to get up whilst carrying the crates, had they been narrow and winding I can see that they could pose a problem.:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0
