BitsDuJour are offering Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO Lifetime License today only at a 40% discount; $14.97 instead of $24.95

I will probably go for this purely for the automatic update facility as I understand that the real-time scanning module is a bit resource heavy on XP.
Does any one know if real-time protection can be disabled in such a way that it doesn't utilise any RAM?
