    hello ladies

Had a nightmare of a week. Bank Holiday was good, then paid work on Tuesday...felt a bit 'limp and leafy' to quote pigpen (knew exactly what you mean) but put it down to AF being on Niagara-mode; then woke up in the night, moved my head ever so slightly and the room lurched and started to spin....backwards....very quickly:eek::eek:

That was the beginning of a very unpleasant night lieing VERY still with appropriate recepticle by the bed...aka bucket. I even allowed the doctor to come on a home visit on Wednesday ....I don't 'do' doctors, and I especially don't do 'allowing anyone into the house' but I genuinely didn't care. He could think what he liked as long as he made the world stand still.....funny that: the last time I had a bloke in my bedroom - a loooong time ago!!!! I was hoping the earth would move ;). I digress.:o:o

Apparently I had labyrinthitis in my right ear, but thanks to the wonders of modern medicine I am on the mend. The floor just tips occasionally if I move my head too quickly otherwise I am up. Not at paid work though - and no work = no pay so things are going to be tight heyho.

I have decided that the next time I need a home visit by a Dr (last time was 1993 so am thinking 2031 :rotfl:) I want a 'won't die of embarrassment when I feel better' sort of house.

:o I have put the WM on and I'm just going to give it an extra spin before I hang it out...looks nice out there today.

Oh and I've put some mouldy crumpets and rock hard bread buns in the bin. It's a start :D

    Hugs/spoons/sticks/whatever's needed to you all

Sorry to hear about the labyrinthitis, roundtuit. It can be very nasty - I looked after my DS2 for a week when he had it a few years ago - but it sounds as if you are already on the road to recovery.

Get well soon, and I hope you stay healthy enough not to need a home visit by the Dr again before 2031! I think that most GPs have seen worse houses than any of ours, so there's no need to be embarrassed - but it's worth getting your home shipshape the way you want, then you'll never have to worry about unexpected visitors.

Aren't you glad I come up with these phrases? lol So pleased you are feeling better :D

OH piddling about loading the DW... why he can't just chuck stuff in I'll never know.. but at least he is doing it :D

I've put all the food waste out (read potato peelings and teabags!), recycling out, tasked DS3 with mucking out the hoppety boing. Made hair appt for DS3 who looks like a scarecrow.. he desperately needs mincing his mop looks like brushed string! Eyebrows appt for DD2 (might see if DD3 wants to go too)

Off to BBQ with girlies.. actually I best kick Dot out of bed.. I hate waking a sleeping baby!

I *think* we are meant to be going to OHs mums next weekend so I can moan about that all week.

Thank you ionafan - would that be the island or the group? I believe I've got off lightly as a colleague was recently knocked off her feet for over a week by the same thing, and I am up today. Wobbly, but up. Doc did say he was giving me strong meds.

    Just got washed and dressed;
put second load in WM but not hung out 1st load yet as when I took it out of the machine I had a dizzy turn _pale_ being a true flylady I reloaded the WM before having a sit-down :D

Brought down empty toilet roll tube - does everyone else find that the toilet roll tube fairy is always expected to visit? and no-one else is 'allowed' to remove said item from the bathroom? Do they think she is easily offended or something? :rotfl:

Right, going to get that washing on the line. If you hear a crash - esp. you pigpen as I think you are nearest it could be me.

But it won't be. 'cause I'll be fine

The group - they play such wonderful music! - and I'm glad someone else has heard of them. But they're named after the island, and one day in the not-too-distant-future I shall get there too.:)

Hello all – Happy Flyday... er, I mean Friday.:D

I thought I was all done this week, but ended up re-cleaning the windows this morning. It was so cold last night that we had condensation on the insides and Mr LW dried it with a towel and left the windows all streaky.

Kazmeister I hope your poor DS's leg is a bit better; that sounds really awful. I get the impression we're getting super-mozzies these days!

Valli I use the number pad if I'm using the desktop PC, too.:o No choice with the netbook though, as it doesn't have one.

Mumto5 congratulations on getting the job.:T

CY £40 for a top?????:eek::eek: I'd expect a whole outfit for that money! Deffo extract the owed rent from DS, even if you have to turn him upside down and shake him to shake the money out of his pockets.:D

Bossy have a lovely, lovely holiday with the mini-Moos.:o

Roundtuit gentle (((HUGS))) I've had labyrinthitis before; it's mega-horrid.:( I remember the room on a whirligig and the chunder-bucket well. Take care, and GWS, mate.:o Oh, and in our house, I'm the toilet roll fairy, it would appear!:D

I'm trying to convince myself that it'd be OK to just sit and do cross stitch this afternoon; I have some drawers that want tidying, but honestly don't feel equal to the task at present. The next cross stitch project is a light-switch surround for the spare room, so it would be "house-work", well, sort of.:o I bet the guilty feeling will outweigh any pleasure if I do that, though.:( Anyways, I need to do my emails first, so we'll see after those are done.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Awww lamewolf don't let the guilt spoil the pleasure...I'm sure you deserve some craft-time.

I read without guilt surrrounded by a total mess of a house - which is why it is a total mess of a house :o Currently reading 'Me Before You' by Jojo Moyes.....well a bit limited by dizziness this week tbh but I'll be picking it up again soon.

Please cross- stitch this afternoon...pretty please with a cherry on top. There you can't not cross-stitch now surely :T

Did I tell you I'm aka 'a bad influenece' :rotfl:

Do what makes you feel best hun xx

Was in work for longer than I wanted but we got quite a few things sorted, been shopping put it away and made some rolls up for the freezer so that is our lunches sorted for next week. I might do the ironing next. I also want to try the timer out on the cooker this afternoon.
