    FLYLADY ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the appearance of sunshine in Dustyland I hearby declare this afternoon's jobs cancelled.

I'm trying to convince myself that it'd be OK to just sit and do cross stitch this afternoon; I have some drawers that want tidying, but honestly don't feel equal to the task at present. The next cross stitch project is a light-switch surround for the spare room, so it would be "house-work", well, sort of.:o I bet the guilty feeling will outweigh any pleasure if I do that, though.:( Anyways, I need to do my emails first, so we'll see after those are done.;)

Right Mrs I have spoken - do as you please :rotfl:

Been to IKEA with DS2&3, all the things I had planned to get were not suitable so very cheap trip.

Flying second load of washing in the machine and DW emptied. Off to the garden in a minute for the rest of the day and will nip next door and do the paid bit to cover the cost of the petrol this morning.

BossyMoo have a wonderful holiday - if you haven't left already.

Mum to 5 Congratulations and jolly well done for getting the job.

I've managed to get some daylight into the In Tray after years of not being able to deal with it. I've pruned the existing filing cabinet, opened eight new files and the paperwork that will take time to deal with has been put into them for future days when I can spend time at my desk. In the meantime, I will no longer have a huge, wobbling mound to wade through every time I sit down to work. It's sorted - for me that's always the first step in clearing a backlog of cruddish gibble.

I also have a To Do list that is five pages long, but that's another story.

Having spent the whole week dealing with it, I guess I'd better go an clean bathrooms and do the vaccumming.
    Better is good enough.

    Good afternoon ladies... :)

Am working my way steadily through the lists and have also sorted out most of the Uni stuff I need to for starting Monday - only thing I need to do now is have photos taken! Then I need to upload them somehow onto the Uni website... still, ill take the photos first, then worry about that

Im simultaneously working through all the paperwork and sorting, filing and shredding as I go... Ive a few letters to write however in response to some stuff Ive had in this week, so my list seems to grow again as soon as it shrinks... :o

Still, I think Im getting there... slowly but surely.

Ive floored out the hall cupbaords and moved the spare chest of drawers into one of them... Now I have a place to store spare bedding and curtains etc, until such times as I get them on Ebay.

Ive also shuffled around the living room furniture giving me more room.

Sky came today too so now I can actually record! :T:T Its the simple things in life that make me happy :D

    Mumto5 - Congratulations!! :T:T:beer::T:T
Piggers - I hope youre getting a few hours more kip that you have been.... Hope the situation with AF solves itself! And to everyone having problems with that Miserable old bag!
FFP - hugs, its nice you have a NN to go for you! Hope LO is well soon
Roundtuit - Hope you feel better soon - but dont overdo it! :D
LW - Cross-stitch!! ;)... you have been ordered by those in charge, so now you have too!! :)
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

    :oOFF THREAD RANT ALERT

I get into trouble for wanting to do everything myself to make sure it's done right. But if I do let someone else it, I always end up helping to sort out the confusion....so why shouldn't I do it in the first place grrrrr Maybe I have a point

I know people have to learn and tbf it probably isn't DS's fault - banks etc seem universally apt to make mistakes these days. Probably like my job - less staff + more work = more errors. But the rent hasn't been paid on his student house - its a problem at the bank say mypad. Enough dosh in said bank so what's the problem???? I'm too woozy to go to bank with DS so his dad is going with him....won't it be shut at 20 to 4 on a Friday??

Is it me? Or is nothing ever straightforward anymore?

Maybe it's my age vs modern technology?

    RANT OVER

Thankyou for listening (if you did) or ignoring me (don't blame you)

    And breathe....:(

OK, I've finished the last of today's online surveys (gods, they're so boring but it does mean Mr LW gets his RPG games from Amazon effectively free):money:

I shall commence the light-switch surround - and hope I can remember where I put the acrylic doo-dob to put it in when it's done!:D

I guess the writing desk that needs a major tidy-out will still be there next week.;)

Thanks for the encouragement - it does help!:o

Next door's garden all shipshape, mine needs a lot more attention. Just having a drink and 5 minutes rest before cutting my front grass (back done) and then maybe a bit of dead heading out back, must iron DS2 a shirt for work too.

I have done he haw as I fell asleep on the couch so I will go and tranfer washing and do another load. Was woke up by DS1's learing support teacher bring his bus pass, so thats a 20 quid saving next week:T:money: Should get the dinner on too, big ones are having steak and pepper sauce littles are having pizza. Got a whole load of whoopsied meats and fish at Mr T yesterday so I is very pleased with myself and my freezer is looking good again.

Since my last post I have done the ironing, started making a present list for December and generally spent far too much time on the laptop. I have also advertised for private pupils, DH has been on at me for ages to do it so lets see if anyone gets in touch.

Dinner is on. Oh and as predicted DH went into the kitchen cupboard and came out again none the wiser, I smiled at him, he asked what I had done so I told him to look again. I think even he was horrified about 54 carrier bags, he has said he will take some reusable bags in his car too and likes my idea for storage when we get the cupboard cleared. Maybe he might help now...sorry, got distracted for a minute, I thought I saw a pig in the sky :rotfl:
