    Evening all

You're all doing so well. After the great start on Monday I've achieved very little this week. :o

After posting yesterday I only managed to buy the eggs, spend ages chatting to DS2's friend's mum when I went to pick him up and do tea. Started researching B&C insurance and then went out with DH and his mate to listen to some live music, which made a really nice change. Looks like my Saturday nights out won't happen for a while, as DS1 will be working.

Today I didn't get up as early as planned and spent ages finalising the insurance. Saving more then £10 a month compared to what we used to pay and even more compared to the renewal quote. Should also get cashback through quidco. :money:This will help with the slightly dearer (but hopefully much better) internet and phone, too.

Went to Mr T's to collect our clothes order and called at B&M next door. Ended up with a stocking filler for DS2 - I never buy anything this early! Then decluttered a snooze, fed DH before his bowles match, started the jacket spuds and went to friend down the road for a chat with DS2. Tea made and eaten, but I still need to tidy the kitchen.

DS1 came home on the bus yesterday, but I'm expecting to pick him up tonight as he's finishing at 11pm and the warehouse is out of town.

AF has arrived a few days earlier than expected (must keep proper records) and I wonder whether that's why I've lacked energy. Hope it will pick up tomorrow, when I'll start with proper list.

Hugs, spoons and sticks for everyone as needed. x

Nicki - if your daughter needs typing practice then on the BBC school site there is an activity called dance mat typing. Worth a bash - I'm fast with the 6 digits I type with, to the extent that I get some VERY impressed comments BUT I am far fro perfect as the typos show. I also use the number pad but that's because I had an 'accountancy' job.

    Re the ebay listing challenge

I have sold some BIZARRE things on ebay. Empty tins - old AND new - I now never, ever, throw a tin away - it WILL sell on ebay. I have sold buttons, half packs of things, ephemera...

It might not go 1st time but it will go eventually;)

I am rarely late.. last month I was even early! This is really unlike me and I miss my friend af.. I hate it when I don't get my visit.. plus I get very very crotchety and I'm having nasty cramps too.. I am resorting to homeopathy if we have a no show tomorrow.

I am off to bed for an early night and praying neither of those pesties wake up until 8am.. I need to sleep.. you watch me be up at 4 because I went to bed early! lol

  • Been a bit behind this week, so today (or yesterday now!) I swept and mopped the lounge, kitchen and bathroom floor. Stripped, washed and replaced the bedding in the bedroom. I also cleaned the bathroom, including cleaning the window and sill, wiping down the bath, sink and tiling and cleaned the toilet.

    Good Morning Flylady friends.

DH has kept me awake most the night snoring. I will be tired later.

I got the job I had the interview for. I start on Wednesday. 12 h per week 10 - 2 Mon, Wed and Friday.

DS1 was enrolled at college. We then went shopping as he and DS2 need new clothes. DS2 was very easy, happy to try stuff on and grateful for the money being spent on him. DS1 wouldn't look at anything. He wanted chinos but kept taking the wrong sizes into the changing room. He's a 30w 34L but repeatedly took 34w 30L into the changing room. He refused to try anything I picked out for him. Eventually DS2 told him to grow up and stop being difficult. Surely it should be the other way round?

I wanted to have a day at home today but DH is WFH and DD1 is still not back from her night shift so will be asleep today. The little ones aren't particularly noisy but their bedroom is between the Study and DD1's room. DD1 is off on her hols with her girlfriends to Turkey at 11pm tonight. I will miss her. She's not got back with The Boyfriend but they are talking again. I really hope she moves on from him.

Flying will have to take a backseat today.

    Morning All

    Congratulations mumto5 - knew you'd get it!

Nothing planned as yet today so I'll see what happens later. House still a pigsty and I'm back at work on Monday, so much for sorting it out during the holidays and the first 2 weeks I'm really busy at night as well and away for the next 2 weekends!

    Have a good day all

    Morning all.

    Well done to Mumof5.

I am up and about on my own, it is so peaceful, even the dogs are still in bed. I'm going to do some 'finance juggling' in a mo while I can concentrate in the quiet. Today we're planning a day out with DD and will see DS for the first time in 4 weeks, and I can actually feel myself getting quite excited! Will be nice to have everyone together for half an hour.

    Other plans:
    Walk dogs
Vacuum living room (cream rug surviving so far)
Spend less now, work less later.
