I had a lovely day out with my DD and the two DGSs yesterday. I don't expect to see them again for at least 6 weeks, so we made the most of it and had fun at a farm with lots of friendly animals and a big play barn. DGS2 (aged 2-and-a-half) has developed a vivid imagination and now has an imaginary friend who gets up to all sorts of mischief. DGS1 (just 4) proved that he can count to 100 and is clearly going to cause his new teacher fun and games with his fluent reading and many questions - but unfortunately he hasn't yet learnt to fold up his clothes in a neat pile.

This morning I have already flown round at high speed and even cleared my desk and made a phonecall, only to find that the person I want to speak to doesn't start work for another quarter of an hour!!!

Will delete unwanted emails and links and hang out washing x2 and then get on with the website work. I have to pick up DH from work at 1.45 so that we can catch the train to London for our trip to the Olympic Park
    :-))

For those of you who enjoyed the BBC article on procrastination and want another excuse not to start flying again immediately, there is a follow-up of readers' experiences here:

I feel so much better after reading that. Today, I've walked the dogs, vacuumed/swept LR and spent too much time on here! About to scoff sausages in buns and DH and I are then going out for the day.

    Have a good day everyone.

If it's gone it's been done previously.

    In my HHC I:

Wednesday - Master bedroom and Landing
    Level 1

    Vacuum the floors
    Level 3
Polish any glass bits.. table tops, lamps, mirrors etc
Declutter and wipe the bedside tables... or whatever area you use as a dumping ground!

    Thursday bathroom and study
    Level 1

    Level 2
    Hoover and mop the floors
    Level 3
Clear the desk, now dust it (behind too if you can)
Wash the shower curtain/baths mats etc if required
    Wipe the tiles
    Extras
    Wipe radiators, shelves and paintwork
    15 minutes filing & shredding

    My extras are:

    [STRIKE]Sort out DS1's clothes draws
    Sort out DS2's clothes draws[/STRIKE]
    Sort out my clothes draws
Sort out DH's clothes draws - 3/4 of the way there

Doesn't look a lot but it will stop the washing and ironing backing up. It even made DS1 want to start tidying his room
    Off I go again :D

    Mawnin' all!

I have Mr LW wfh today, as a favour for the chap who was meant to do the Early shift but has been told he has to go and visit a customer at short notice.:o The good bit is that Mr LW has said he'll take down all the stuff we have stored on top of the wardrobes and give them a good clean (something I can no longer manage myself).:A

Ooh... I got a text from KH earlier saying he had booked Sunday night so he will pick up Friday and bring back Monday.. which is what I suggested in the first place as it fits in better around the childrens activities.. :D ... DD3 now has to go to her friends and tell her she can't make Monday for swimming after all and ask if they can do Tuesday instead!!! I just want a peaceful life is that really too much to ask? He turned up at the house hoping to intimidate me into backing down I am sure!.. it didn't work!
<with my cynical head on> Make sure you keep the text, so that when he denies having sent it, you can prove him to be in error.;) But you know to do that already.;)

Bossy well done to Miss Moo - please may I borrow her to give Mr LW lessons?:D I'm fed up with tiddle streaks down the front of the loo._pale_

GI gods, I'm not surprised your DH is depressed - talk about stress from on high! His bosses want shooting!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi flyers I'm in for the end of the week thanks for the lists Dusty x

I have been not too great this week between waiting for AF and BD. DS2 was sent home from school on Monday sick, hes back at school today and I was up most of the night with DD she has aching muscles, sore throat and is burning up. So she is on the couch watching a film while I'm trying to get the work done.

I will go find a list. love and hugs to all who are in need (I haven't caught up with Fred:o)
