Has anyone else been transported to October half-term by the weather today? :(

I've eaten my breakfast and sorted the sky upgrade at the same time. Hopefully it will all go through without problems. Not as cheap as talktalk, but I've finally had enough of the poor internet connection and their customer service.

Running to catch up with the HHC...

    Morning All

Busy at wfh this morning, so done nada, zip, zilch unless you count grabbing the laundry from upstairs bucket and slinging it on kitchen floor. And making 2 cups of tea...

Hoping it will quiet down enough for a hhc over lunch. Need to get laundry going (how to dry it???) and a pick up in conservatory - juice bottles and toys everywhere!

Will also take up the armbands and buckets and spades to pack, and poss pack kiddies handluggage. And put together our washbag.

Priced up flights to singapore for the three of us it's over a grand each  holy cow, I've agreed with my mum to go with her to visit my brother next year yikes. She can afford even less than I can! Still, he's been here a few times, it's only fair we share the expense and travel. He was over here like a shot last Nov when I lost DH.

(Hugs) for mumto5 and anyone else in need.

    Hey flyladies,

Hugs, coffees, sticks and spoons as required... I havent had time to catch up on the thread Im afraid, but gather from a quick skim that there are a few flyfolk in need of some of the above!

I did carry on with the thread last week and have been good in the house so far this week.... I even did my ironing..! :D

    But.... :eek::eek::eek:

Its halfway through the week and I have a shedload of stuff to do...

Uni is stressing me out no end as they will not give me a freaking timetable...! I am not sure how I am supposed to organise anything, if I dont know where I am supposed to be and when! Anyway, moving on.

Hallway flooring was fitted yesterday... However I had mismeasured it by 8ft!!! So that was an absolute carry on, but after nearly killing one exasperated fitter through my stupidity, and some very clever joins, its down and looks good :T

He has left me the off cuts to do the floors in the cupboards in the hall, so that is now on my to do list so I can get all the stuff lying around, back in the cupboard where it belongs!

Ive got a ream of paperwork to deal with and application forms to complete etc, so Im about to go through all of that and hopefully make some headway since Im off today!

So my list today, looks a bit like this...

    Morning all

My shoulder is great today, pleased about that :]]

Pigpen - hope you get some sleep later, are you able to grab a nap during the day?
Mumto5 - lots of luck for your interview
Mrs Chaos - well done to your DS

Plans for today are ???? I'm not sure where to start, I've sorted our room and the bathroom this morning and the Kitchen is ok so that leaves the LR, DR and the Garden, none of which are very inspiring!

Pigpen, hope you get some sleep. I remember wanting to trade DS1 in for years. Indeed that is how I ended up on here originally, it was the only thread with sensible middle of the night posts.
Limesorbet - yes it is thanks, very fur coat no knickers though as it was a wreck inside and we are very slowly sorting it
Bonnie - you made me chuckle about the postman
Mumto5 - good luck for the i/view. The DS thing is difficult, I hope it gets easier.
MrsChaos - Whatever their reputation it is good experience for him and a sense of perspective about what work can be like won't do any harm.
Mango - Doing half the level ones isn't rubbish. It takes time to get things into roder, next time it will be easier. My bedroom is empty and spotless, It would take me 15 minutes to do the whole room, but that is because I spent two days cleaning out years of junk.
Rowantree - George is a strange cat, sometimes she is Kissy George who loves everyone, and then Hissy George who bites if you touch her. Even our other cats don't like her. Obsessed with squeezing her fat bottom into very small boxes.

Last day of school holidays here (hurrah!) and pouring down so I took the boys to the tip and to H&B for Zoflora. We know how to live in this house :p.

Mountains of washing and ironing to get done, uniform to label and tons of cleaning to do.

    HHC at 11am anyone?

    Morning

Feeling a bit better after a couple of cold tabs although throat still feels like its coated with knives. Have done nothing so far apart from drink tea and watch daytime TV so need to get dried from shower and get dressed. Have to go back into town today and get a refund on one of DH's jumpers he bought. Why he thinks he can get away with a Medium when he has quite obviously moved up to a Large in the time he has been off is beyond me! Still need to sort a camera and will need to go to Jessops to see if thye have all 3 that I want to compare.

Positive vibes for Mumto5 for the interview and well done to was it Mrs C's DS on getting the job.
I dont envy all of those who didnt get much sleep or who were up at silly o clock, I felt bad enough for havingkept waking up for a drink and suck throat sweets. Pigpen, can OH not look after all the children today and let you play catch up with your sleep.
ClaireT13, I do sympathise with you. My DH has suffered a lot over the years with depression, and a job he used to love he hates now so (apart from the fact he has been off sick since May for a hernia) every day was a challenge to get him to go to work. He's due to retire in January albeit looking to stay on in a lesser roll and doesnt even want to go back at all to what he was doing. All you can do is be there for him and support whatever he feels he needs to do on a daily basis. Big hugs for you.

Right I am going to get dressed now and I will find the list and update when I can get on the PC as I cant copy from here, it takes too long to sort it out as the formatting doesnt seem to copy.

In the mean time happy flying xx

No chance.. pick up girls at 12:30, pick up DD3 at 3 then do dinner etc. in between times I need to nip to the bank, hang up 2 loads of wet washing inside as it is piddling with rain. I am kind of getting used to no sleep now :(

Question.. Does anyone have one of these heated airers like they have in Lakeland??? If so are they any good?? I need to get loads dried over winter and do not want to put jeans and towels in the dryer.

Off to sort stuff to be stashed in the loft!
