Pigpen: Maybe I'm missing something, but why is it always you who has to get up with the LOs? Think I'd be kicking DH out of bed at this stage :rotfl:I must say you're a bl00dy good inspiration though, it seems as though any time I find myself in front of the computer you're putting us all to shame with your decluttering and cleaning... I particularly like decluttering the kids to bed lol. I think the Bounty pics idea is great, they're soooo expensive but really cute, so if they can't afford to treat themselves then it's a lovely present and something they'll appreciate forever.

Also I hope things get a bit better with KH soon, it really doesn't seem fair that some NRPs are able to get away with doing so little to support their kids, especially when you're working so hard to make sure they're kept safe and well :(

Lime: Well done! Looks as though you've been super productive :T

Mummyof5: Congrats on all the cleaning, although don't think I'd be appreciating not being in Croatia  Hope you're getting a break of your own soon.

HelenJelly: Hope you had fun at the pool, haven't been swimming in aaaages, need to get off my lazy @ss and go!

Nicki: Blummin' eck, do you reckon you've done enough?!? Slow down, you're making me feel bad :rotfl:

Mrs Bee: Hope your DH was appreciative of all your hard work.

Bonnie: Your post made me :rotfl:

Good Intentions: How very :money: Hope this blazer is as long-wearing as DDs.

Kazmeister: Hope you feel better soon and were able to get some rest.

Mumto5: I really hope the interview goes well and know lots of the people on this thread will be thinking of you and sending their best wishes. I'm sorry if it's been mentioned before, but do you think relationship counselling may be helpful for you and DH? I know it doesn't work for everyone, but if you have such different priorities and perceptions then maybe it could help to communicate in a neutral environment. Please feel free to tell me to shut up! :o

I'm really sympathising with those of us who're experiencing / seeing those we love experience issues with the BD. I have bipolar disorder and have had to stop taking my medication as we're trying to conceive our first LO and my meds cause spina bifida if taken during pregnancy  Whilst it's not been the prolonged misery we'd feared it could be, there have been episodes of just heart-breaking sadness, and although DH is brilliant at caring for me when I'm down, he also gets low and is badly affected by my mood. I hope things start to look up for all those affected, and please take the time to look after yourselves as well as your OH - those who care for people with MH issues are amazing people and have my full respect *hugs*

Well HHC was pretty successful, s&s in the bathroom, load of washing in, quick tidy up of DH's work things and then tackled the ironing pile. There's still about 24 hours solid of ironing left but it's a start :rotfl: DH has decided to get up now and has brought me another coffee, so I'm clearly going to be bouncing off the ceiling and ready for another HHC (or probably HHI) in an hour or so  Hope the LOs have decided to be quiet and you're able to get some rest Pigpen *hug*

mumto5 - big hugs coming your way...

Our DS can be a right royal pain too - though i suspect not as bad as yours. They just don't appreciate what they get at home do they?

    Good luck for your interview!

DD1 in preop appt at hosp at 9.30am today - she will be out on her feet by the end as I had to wake her at 7.15. I've had b****r all sleep myself - what with DH's snoring and his annoying habit of having the radio on overnight - I heard the whole of Mrs Romney's speech from the Republicsn convention in the US!

    My List

I really need to get on top of this clutter situation, so I will be concentrating on Ebay / Cash4Clothes / charity shops / flinging - mostly cares but also homewares that just aren't needed for a place this small and are stopping me actually having the things that would really help!

I've got my final assignment for this module due in a couple of weeks, so need to get cracking with that and start revising for my exam at the beginning of October.

Respond to tax credits query - whhhhhy do they need more information from so long ago, don't they know I've moved house a ridiculous number of times and am disorganised as it is!?!
    [STRIKE]
Chase up final reference from uni to get new work start date sorted. Make sure old employers have actually sent the references they promised to send weeks ago![/STRIKE]

Complete all TB articles and chase up payments / further work - I did this yesterday, but now someone's got back to me wanting extra work for nowt - I think not! :oARGH! Have just been on and have been sent 16 new articles to write! Thanks for the money but that's a hell of a lot of extra work! Better get cracking again, I think my flying may suffer a little but am determined to not give up altogether this time.

Get back to Very and ask them why they're being even more useless than usual.

Start thinking about what I'm going to make for DS' new baby when she arrives... my first niece! :D

Sort out the spare room for little nephew to come and stay again, think he's driving his Mum round the bend :rotfl:

Keep an eye out for new dressing table, make up lamp and chest of drawers for the bedroom.

    Contact British Gas

Work on the disgusting mess that is currently known as 'the hall'

Put the chicken on to roast and make the croquettes (beginning to wish I'd never made these for DH as he's now wanting them for every other meal )

    Morning everyone!

I didn't manage to fit in my planned 3rd HHC last night but I did potter and do bits and pieces round the bedtime routines, sorting dinner, etc. So lists much improved but still lots to do...

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level one

    Sweep and mop floors

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1

    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Extra
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    Binbag dance

Wednesday - Master bedroom and Landing
    Level One

    Vacuum the floors
    Level Two
Strip and wash bedding and remake bed
Clear the floordrobe!.. are there any summery things that are past their best that you can fling?
    Level Three
Dust and deweb.. don't forget the bedframe and light fitting!
Polish any glass bits.. table tops, lamps, mirrors etc
Declutter and wipe the bedside tables... or whatever area you use as a dumping ground!
    Extras

We're off out for the day though so will have to see what I can manage when we get back.

More hugs and sticks to all the flyladies and their families struggling with the BD. Seems there's a lot of us here who've been there and can sympathise.
Can't believe how many of you have been up since silly o'clock. Hope you all get some rest today and a better night tonight.

mumto5 - (((((hugs)))) on the DH/DS situations and sending lots of good luck vibes for your interview
helen jelly - hope the shoulder feels better today
limesorbet - Welcome (-sorry, think I must have missed you yesterday)! I'm a relative newbie too and it's fab here!
amyloofoo - nope, DH didn't mention the state of the house but I'm used to it by now! I did manage to get him to pause his TV viewing so I could clean the TV and he polished a picture I can't quite reach though :rotfl: Good luck with TTC and with being off your meds - must have been a big decision for you both to make but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.

Hi to everyone else. I'd better get off here quick before the kids fill the living room with toys - otherwise we'll end up with a tidying mission that takes til lunchtime instead of our planned day out!!

    Morning all

(((Hugs))) to Mumto5 and good luck vibes for the interview. I've had similar issues with my DS1 at times over the last few years, also with little support from DH. Fortunately he's not usually too bad with his little brother, but I know how tough it can be.

Had good news yesterday - DS1 has finally got a job :j and starts today. The employer hasn't got a great reputation (quick staff turnover, non-existing interview), but it's a job. He's even got the shift he wanted (3pm-11pm), but works Tue-Sat. The place is a bit out of town and he's still got to check public transport so I'm taking and collecting him today. Depending on what's available I may have to pick him up at night regularly, but will ask for fuel money. ;)

Was up early-ish this morning (although not as early as some of you) and was almost ready to sort my list when the internet connection went, so I did a HHC and tidied up in the kitchen, made DS1's sarnies for work and brought the washing in.

I managed all the things on my own list before going to friends yesterday, but nothing else. We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed spending time together. Then home, sorting tea and trying to organise new internet provider, which I haven't quite finished.

Time to sort my list. Hope everyone has a good day and the assorted BDs disappear, never to be seen again.
