In short I bought two items from Amazon market place and before they arrived they were reduced online.
Secondly I bought two items from the same market place shop and they charged me £7 per item and then sent them bundled together as one.... I think that's a cheek...

Postage - what did the adverts say? Some vendors only make a profit from postage (ever seen books listed for 1p from 'partners'? But with £2.80 shipping from USA...), so it is far from unusual. I in fact bought 8 books from one (UK) seller in one go - they arrived in 8 jiffy bags with individual franks, with a rubber band round the lot, delivered as one! Unlesss they say they combine postage, not a whole heap to go on!
Price drop - you could always (threaten to) return the goods under the distance selling regs (although check who has to pay return postage) and re-buy them (if the vendor will sell them to you again - I probably wouldn't as the cost of handling returns is high). Maybe ask them if they will give you a store credit as goodwill?0 -
So you got all the items you ordered, at the price you agreed to pay? Find something else to fret about!0

You bought the items at a cost which you were obviously happy with and then when they were reduced you felt hard done by?
I know its frustrating, im sure its happened to all of us at some point but you chose to buy each item at that price so there is no 'cheek' involved0 -
Amazon set the rates for Market place sellers. As someone who has done this, I can tell you that sellers actually lose on a lot of stuff - large books etc. Not saying you should be happy about the charges, but neither are the sellers sometimes!0

Are you being fussy - YES0

So if the price had increased after you bought the items, you would have offered to pay the seller the difference?Secondly I bought two items from the same market place shop and they charged me £7 per item and then sent them bundled together as one.... I think that's a cheek...
And what would have been the advantage of having them dispatched separately?
So my view is - you have a problem.0 -

from my Amazon selling days, this happened at frequent points during the day with our software as it repriced accordingly depending on other prices therefore the only way this wouldn't happen is if things were set at a fixed price. on many areas every seller uses software like this. When you list thousands of products, it is impossible to even be aware a price has reduced. Anyway, the price you pay is the price advertised at that time so there really is no complaint as you were happy to pay that price.Secondly I bought two items from the same market place shop and they charged me £7 per item and then sent them bundled together as one.... With regards to buying things then them being reduced after is a risk everyone has to take when buying things. Just imagin if everyone complained and wanted to send items back because they had been reduced, you are just being silly now.Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0

True, the nature of a marketplace like Amazon means prices are changing all day long so it would be impossible to keep a situation ensuring the price was never reduced for every customer.0 -
I'm not being silly as I'm ony asking opinion....
If I bought something in tesco today andit was reduced tomorrow I'd take it back and mpby it cheaper... Fact
Further pore if I had ordered my two items weeks apart it would have cost the seller more but as I got them at the same time he benefitted.....
He charged £7 per item delivered but only sent one package...0
