How did the hair dyeing go??!!xx2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32
Grocery challange April: £130.17of £500 target remaining0 -
Hi Laura - it went very well thanks
a teeny bit darker than i would have liked, and i can venture into public with a perfectly acceptable head of hair, which is the main thing :rotfl:
I am pretty pleased with the spends this week :beer:
Monday = NSD
Tuesday = NNSD (nearly NSD) £40 on the MOT, which was budgeted, albeit only at £30 due to my lack of understanding how much these now cost :eek:
Wednesday = NSD
Thursday = NNSD - £25 having nails done, this was budgeted and then £1.89 at the local shop on two naan breads and a pack of biscuits
I was going to make my own naan breads but the bread machine i'm sure delibertely put itself on the wrong setting earlier, hence no dough for naan breads
Friday should also be a NSD :j - off to see the girlies for nibbles and drinks (MY drinking will be tea or milk after Sunday night, can't face any more alcofrol
!!)
Quiet weekend planned, DB due to return home tomorrow after being away all week, he's in wee bonny glasgow and don't think he'll be home till early hours Sa (1-2am) t, so will be veryyyy tired no doubt :cool:
Sat - a few dog walks, if they are lucky daddy may partake in the afternoon one. Then i plan on cooking DB a nice meal Sat night, with a few glasses of wine (again mine will prob be milk lol
) and chilling
Sun - much the same, so hopefully a low spend wk end :T
Why does today feel like Friday?!? It's technically only Wednesday (3rd working day of the week)....Never mind, it's friday tomorrow :j

So far a very quiet and inexpensive wk end :j
Think I've had a 'head' cold, with a few sneezes and sniffles but mainly just a terrible sinus type headache all week
( which I think may have contributed to the terrible hangover last Monday!)
Pay day was on Friday so lots of pennies moved into savings :j:T:D ( must update my sig) but need to wait till the 15th when expenses get paid to make the total save for this month!
It is annoying as I spend quite a lot of money with work exp's and have to wait until the 15th to get it paid back, and because I always pay of CC at beg of the month, I have to wait until 15th to properly top up savings :mad:
Anyhow, strict budget for the month!! And doing well so far ( yes I do realise its only the second day of the month tho lol!:rotfl:)
£7 spent Fri night on takeaway with the girlies and that's it so far
Yesterday we had a lovely walk with pooches and spag bol for dinner
Today we are off into the peak district shortly for another few hours walking with the hounds then cooking crispy pork belly for dinner :j :drool:
The only slight down side to the day is having to list eBay items
boooooo! But i need to think of extra £ in the savings pot :T:p

Hope you feel better soon

I just get cheesed off with expenses in general. Especially when they owe me hundreds and I wonder why I feel poor all the time
Mmm pork belly sounds lovely.
eBay is no fun until you get paid. It will be worth it in the end!0 -
Quick (ish) update
Pork belly was lurrverrrly
Sunday = SD (spend day)
£33 fuel
£9 pets at home
Monday = NSD
Tuesday = Spent £3.28 on a Mac Ds
not very MSE at all!
Wed - Fri = In london, will be spending but can claim back on expenses, so techically should be a NSD few days also :j
Having a bit of a lull at the moment, had a huge craving for a mac d sundae, cheese burger and chips last night .....i was trying to have a NSD (and healthy) but Mac D's won in the end
- then felt stick after i'd eaten it and really disappointed i'd not managed another NSD!
O/H is away again this week, and i'm finding it really hard to menu plan effectively for the next month when i'm not sure how long and often he's away for! I have visibility of his calendar but things change so often that i cannot bank on it actually being correct.
Anyhow, enough moaning i suppose....and back to work to earn pennies> to save a deposit> to be an official MFW > to eventually be MF :rotfl:April 14 Deposit Target: [STRIKE]£31,660[/STRIKE] £35038/67,620 -[STRIKE] 46.82%[/STRIKE] 51.81% (£15582 to save + £17k from car sale)

Sat wishing this weather would continue and thinking i must take the pooches out soon before it gets too warm! :cool:
Very very busy few days in down south! Apart from Wed (which i bought my own lunch, shock horror :eek:) - both Thu & Fri were NSD :j
Saturday was quite a spendy day though. Bought all food, both farmshop and grocers which came to £43, £5 at the pet shop for new bones and treats and then had a meal out with a friend last night, which was lovely. This came to £27, but incl starters, mains and bottle of red between us which was amazing value as far as im concerned for the standard of food we ate :T
I actually did spend £7.50 on a taxi home friday (which i will claim as exp), but have counted that towards this weeks spends (i run it Fri - Thu) and will save it when expenses are paid.
So i'm at my weekly spend limit pretty almost, however food is bought, car has half a tank of petrol which will easily last - so Sun- Thu ALL need to be NSD's :eek:
I am off to meadownhell today (but a very short stint there, esp considering the weather!!) to spend some vouchers we have (this may give me the illusion of spending and help to curtail and mid week naughties :rotfl:)
£30 House of Fraser vouchers i hope to spend on one or two bikinis' for the Jolliday (4 weeks day
)
£100 M & S vouchers, which at least £60 will be purchasing DB a few new 'nice' work shirts....and will try and save the rest for xmas pressies.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday making the most of this gorgeous weather!

Well i'm glad that's over! (Monday that is!)
NSD today - first of many this week!
(i hope!!)
I made some quiche yesterday with leftover peppers and onions, DB and i both had some for lunch with Salad
- it was yummy
I should get another two lunches out of it which will all help this week!
Looks like DB is home more or less for the next few weeks! So it's a good job i stocked up with plenty for the meal plans at the weekend! :T
DB has baked some homemade cobs tonight (we love making homemade bread, nothing like it :j) for lunch over the next few days and maybe a burger or two :T...... after taking said cobs out of the oven, he came into the office and said ' J.....do you want to see my MASSIVE........ cob' - well there's an offer i don't get every day :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyhow after that little snippet of information to amuse (well it amused me anyway lol) - off to bed i think
