I'm in the same boat as the OP - but as I've left it til the last minute as usual (be late for me own funeral, me) to go for the Scottish Power deal, looks like I may be staying with EDF.
For me, the SP deal on Money Supermarket says fixed til 31st Dec 2013 and states that the annual bill is £1471.98. I've checked with EDF Blue+ and that's given an estimated annual bill of £1447.00. So, aside from cashbacks (which I believe sometimes don't appear?) EDF Blue looks like a winner.
I hate all this switching supplier malarky - it gives me brainache!
So I'm assuming that if I just phone EDF and tell them to switch me at the end of the V2 tariff, then that's all I need to do? No penalties, no hassle? Sounds too easy!:)0
