I have used both the old and the new quit 40p coupons together to buy the Colgate Total whitening weekly £3.49. I've done this 3 times. The 4th time I bought two of them and the SA only accepted one coupon, said only one of each coupon. He also only took one £1 Plax for 4 bottles.

This is clearly NOT RIGHT.the PLAX £1 is possibly the MOST VALID coupon around (or was),,,it was £1 off each bottle purchased.

These SA's seem to be making their own rules up.......I would have no hesitation in calling for the manager....

Just looked at the coupon, and it does actually say, only one per transaction, but any sensible manager would understand that meant per transaction of Plax, not one each bill............................or would he...

Anyway, i'll let this post stand, even though its now become a bit ambiguous

Never had any bother handing 8 or more Plax coupons in before.

Our tesco don't have any recycling things like that. The one i went to at weekend has recycling bins in car park, but no points or anything.

We are doing a years pilot recycling scheme in this area, and are to be given special corn starch bags to put food waste in, in bins they provide, and they are giving us bags (reusable ) to put glass items in, which will be collected once a week.:j

I hope they don't remove the bottle banks in the area, as the children love going once a week to the bottle bank.

Manda1205 don't worry about telling me to go to that store, i was going to TKMaxx and Next anyway :) Its never certain if you don't know what cashire you are going to use. I picked a young girl, but in hindsight, she was probably too new and nervous and worried about her job to scan away like my faves do at my regular store (you know the one i mean) and on the same day my mum had her clothing coupons accepted, so i probably just picked wrong SA.

The good news is Tesco 2 here (the extra one) is being extended as petrol station has moved accross the road and they are going to do clothes again.:j and possibly a pharmacy, so they may have vouchers in future?!

Then again i can't drive and its about 5 miles away from my house, so think kids may complain if i were to walk there everyday:rotfl:

I had a voucher for 30p off Radox deodorant. I WAS buying the deodorant. So, simple enough? yes?

The SA wouldn't accept it because it was over 10% of the cost of the can!!!! I tried to explain till I was blue in the face, and it was only when she called a supervisor that she seemed to understand and agreed to put the voucher through.

My tesco wouldnt take the plax ones from me when I had bought 2. She pretended she'd scanned them, when in fact she scanned them, then voided them off! She also refused the £2 H&B one and would only take one x 50 points.
So I went to customer service and got a refund. I'm not paying for plax when she wont even take one flippin coupon off 2 of them!
I have also e mailed tesco CS again and got an e mail saying they accept any manufacturers coupons, as they keep saying "We don't accept this type, and we don't accept that type"

I don't have a printer,. but my pal is going to print the e mail out and send it to me so I can wave it in their faces.
I think most of them are jealous that they get discount, yet we get our shopping cheaper than they do. I mean Mr T gets the money back AND a handling charge. PLUS he gets our custom, whereas we'd go elsewhere if not for the coupons. Pity these jealous SAs don't understand that.

hello to you all. I feel I know most of you now, though you'll take time to get to know me!

Yes, I agree Plax was the most valid coupon around, it had the picture of Plax bottles on it. I seem to have got a real jobsworthy SA that time.

I am pleased to report that yesterday in a different store I bought 4 bottles of Plax, 2 in 2 consecutive transactions. One coupon was taken for each bottle.

In fact, my second transaction for £10 H&B, £8 Healthcare and some other groceries came to zero. A lovely transaction for my last old quit coupon shop.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Went out with a friend last night with the intention of going to the 3 24hr tescos round here on the way home to use up my final old QK vouchers.

Was in bed at 11.30 and sat bolt upright as I realised I'd forgotten to call in after t'pub.

Was mortified that I'd wasted my coupons:eek:, but also pleased that I wasn't as tesco obsessed as I thought I'd become!!!!!!:T

But am feeling withdrawal symptoms today:o

i once had this with tthe clothing vouchers - they said only 10% of the bill in coupons and 1 clothing coupon (£10 off £50) is already 20% off before you start on anything else - I think that they should just programme their tills differently if they dont want us to use all of the coupons together - how hard can it be - some of the logic they try to apply - like the 10% rule is utter nonsense!!
