Can someone please advise me how best to utilise my vouchers i have loads of £1,00 off a £4.00 spend healthcare, £1.00 off toiletries and £2.50 off £10 spend. - All with expiry 6/5
    Thanks in advance
    Kay Kay

If you have engough vouchers, make up packs as follows:

    2 x £1.00 Healthcare

    &

    2 x £1.00 Toiletries
    1 x £2.50 Toiletries

On both of the below ONLY buy things that are on BOGOF

You need spend £8 on healthacre before BOGOF (buy 1 get 1 Free) the till will take £4 off for the BOGOF, use your 2 vouchers which will leave you with £2.00 to pay. if you can find any Active packs theres a £2 Healthcare which you can also use, hence you can get what you buy for free. If you find you only want stuff that comes to £7.98 (just an example) you must make the total upto £8 so throw a pack of paracetamol 16p in as well.

You need to spend £10 on Toiletries as above before BOGOF, for example buy 8 x Imperial Leather Shower Gel @ £1.46 each which comes to £11.68, take of BOGOF = £5.84, you have £4.50 in vouchers so you will pay £1.34

    POSSIBLE SMALL GLITCH:j

Bought BOGOF Macleans whitening toothpaste 125ml and Ice Whitening toothpaste 100ml yesterday, and the higher discount came off, as one is more expensive by about 15p i think.
    (i can't find my receipt this morning...very unlike me, i have a drawer full:rotfl: )

Maybe higher discount would also come off if buying only the cheaper of the 2? Otherwise surely the cheaper of the 2 i bought would have come off yesterday?
I might try it this afternoon.

Sorry if already mentioned, have been reading daily and not seen it.

    HTH someone :o

    re-tescos clampdown on coupons

I dont think its true- I think as with all their other policies when the manager memos staff it gets misread and details are subjected to chinese whispers syndrome.
im sure that memos about everything are sent around including vouchers and get misinterpreted
eg sa said"i can only accept 5 vouchers if you havent bought product"
well mine were all tesco h/b ones and id "bought" loads toiletries.

eg sa said"cant use it if you havent bought product shown" so i read out the wording-ie on any toiletries

eg sa"can only use 1 per transaction" which is actually correct-on this occassion i wasnt using many so risked calling over manager-he read them and said-yes 1 per transaction-well my shopping had about 70 items in so i said ok void the lot and we ll stand here for hours putting them all through 1 by 1-lets watch the queues build up. he let them through.

Im sure theres been a clamp down because people have used too many they cant claim back and this has a knock on effect on us using their vouchers(not quite in the spirit they intend-but then since none of them know the policy how am i expected to!!!)

i dont think using their vouchers or mocs they can claim has caused the problem and im convinced as with other policies they have this latest memo has been subjected to the a. chinese whisper syndrome and b. made up on the spot because the sa cant remember/work out what they ve been told.

They arent losing out havent you noticed they up the prices so everyone else pays for the cost of the vouchers intially but they didnt figure on people combining nor how popular it would be hence the miserable sa etc
Plus ive noticed only this week normal everyday household things and probably others have crept up hell of a lot one washing up liquid i normally buy up 20p milk up 4p all adds up
Definately agree on the chinese whisper comment had to point out again to a supervisor!! that it said any healthcare not the ones in the picture cant these people read???!!!!

As I said earlier, I reckon the SAs are jealous. They don't like to see us saving money! Ypu get some lovely cashiers who say, "Good on you" and then some snotty ones who scrutinise everything and are so thrilled if they find a coupon you can't use.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Had a new excuse today

"You're only allowed to use 3 coupons in one go"

Once I pointed out I'd specifically bought items to use the coupons, she gave them a go, and whaddya know?!

Had an email from HO last year stating that coupons are fine to use and you can pay for your entire shop with coupons, should you so wish, as long as the till accepts them.

Don't understand why managers feel that time and time again they can overrule HO as it'll come back to bite them on the bum in the end.
