Looks like I might have both, will order it and see what it is like with the VGA, then decide exactly which different cable , if any, I go for. Reason I am not sure is that computer requires pulling completely out with cable disconnections etc, so will wait until I receive the monitor.

It doesn't make that much difference how you connect it unless you are doing intensive graphics gaming etc..can you identify the connection?0

There are 2 conns, both of which have threads like the one in Toxteths post, the one in Toxteths post re the DVI one looks like for like, but it does not look like I have a HDMI conn.
I won't be doing any gaming.

It will work with the VGA and VGA is still a reasonable way to connect a monitor for most applications I don't think you will notice a difference if you fork out for a DVI cable and connect it that way.0

When I click your link Piriform page comes up, then another page overwites it:-
