I have since bought the Dunelm one for £20 and can highly recommend it..... but unfortunately they have changed the design, mine has holes in it right the way through to make it breathable, the new ones do not......

I looked at these today in Walsall and the ones there have holes in the middle, old stock maybe?

possibly but i would recommend that one since i have got it.....

check if they do a pillow protector similar to the one that comes with the pillow [i need to go and check for this myself].....

also Miró the dunelm one is the size of a normal pillow.....

For years I've been buying Dunlop latex foam pillows from John Lewis. Not memory foam but nevertheless brilliantly supportive pillows. They are made of quite heavy rubbery foam stuff with holes all the way through.

Apparently it's impossible to murder someone with one of these pillows by pressing it over their face like inthe films!

  • avon are doing an excellent one for £15 -£20 depending on which book you can get locally.

tchibo.co.uk are also worth a look as they have different shaped pillows in sometimes ( all memory foam) at very good prices

Do you have a Sleep Depot near you? They have the Visco Traditional and Contour ones reduced from £100.00 per pillow to £44.00 each. I felt them in the store and they are really great.

    I tried a contour one about 3 years ago.It was about £14 I think
It was absolutely awful!! Too hard.
Woke up the next morning with neckache and a bad headache.
"Guaranteed the best nights sleep you've ever had" said the blurb.
Probably my worst. Sent the wretched thing back for a refund
If it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying :D

Six months ago, we bought two from Dunhelm reduced from £45 ish to £25ish. Our first reaction when we placed our heads on them was that they were bloody hard as they felt like wood. Within minutes the weight/shape of our head had produced the contoured shape and for several weeks we slept night after night.

All to soon, we were back to sleepless nights. So we placed a soft pillow on top. Currently that is OK. Mind you, we do wake up most nights.

If you are one of those people that like to sit up and read before retiring, then the pillow is flattened before you lie down, which is a pain.

We are not entirely satisfied or comfortable that we made the right decision to make the purchase.
