I am so glad I asked for advice here. We don't have B&M, Poundstretcher or Ikea nearby, but we do have DunelmMill, so I will check that option out. Also I found the Tesco one here:

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-6578.aspx - looking good at £12.47 - especially as I have one of those £5 vouchers for Tesco Direct.

Will it be anywhere near as good as more expensive ones though - or a waste of money?

When memory foam pillows were first recommended to me I got one from Argos. It didn't take long for the foam to start to perish and I then treated myself to a Tempur from http://www.bedexpert.co.uk/products/details/-/17/

It's awsome and soooooooooo much better than the argos version or the Ikea one my friend has.

You can't put a price on a decent nights sleep. :grouphug:

And worth every last penny. I've not had any problems with my neck and it's reduced the number of migraines I have too hence worth every penny.

My first memory pillow, about 7 years ago I got from my Chiropracter it cost me about £40. I then got my DW one for christmas about two years ago for £50, she found it funny a old person present she called it!! However whenever we go on holiday now we both have to take our pillows with us.

My DW bought me a replacement for mine last christmas and its a cheap alternative, and after almost three months of perservering I have had to chuck it.

Before buying anything I would consult an expert, if your OH suffers it is definately worth checking and trying them. Most of the more expensive pillow manufacturers have a returns policy if you are not happy, something you are unlikely to get from Tescos, Ikea or Dunelm.

Good luck with it and definately don't expect to find it comfortable straight off, it takes a while to get used to, it took me a month with my first one.

Just found the details we have Harley pillows, a little cheaper than tempur but recomended by chiropracters and osteopaths.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

Same here - started with one of the cheap contour ones, as I've suffered from sciatica for years, and while it made a bit of difference, it's not a patch on the proper Tempur one I got from BedExpert.co.uk. I went for the Traditional pillow too, which is a ridiculous price, but at the time I'd been very lucky with my annual bonus, and the pillow really has been a great investment. I've had very little problems with my back since having it, and if we go away overnight, the pillow comes with us, much to the embarrassment of Tempur hating DH! ;)
