hi... i used to be in the same fixture as you.....

i bought the tesco one that you were going on about and after 2 weeks i could not get on with it.... felt like the throw away foam packaging that u buy...... SO NOT RECOMMENDED

I have since bought the Dunelm one for £20 and can highly recommend it..... but unfortunately they have changed the design, mine has holes in it right the way through to make it breathable, the new ones do not......

Also Asda sell the same ones for the same price [£20]....

edit: By the way I have slept on the £80 Tempur memory foam pillow and yes it is very comfortable, however within 3 weeks of usage the dunelm has become as good and is a much better value for money pillow, specially if you need more than one.....

Having recently invested in a memory foam mattress topper (:j ) I too am considering a memory foam pillow now.

However, I'm a bit confused by these memory foam pillows! (I mean the shaped ones) Most of the ones I've been looking at online seem to be very small, almost doll-size, in comparison to 'normal' pillows. Is it possible to get one almost 'normal' size that would fit a 'normal' size pillow case?

    TIA

I got one from Ikea for 2.99 and wished I had just bought the 14.99 one.

Its practically useless. Not even to wedge the door open.

I think I am now ready to get one (possibly Dunelm Mill £20ish) for my hubby to try out before maybe taking out the mortgage to get a Tempur one. My question now though is whether to go for a shaped or traditional one. Bearing in mind that he has a problem with his lower neck/shoulder muscles, would the shaped one be best?

I think buying a cheapie pillow is a good way to work out if you can cope with them, but they don't last so next step will be to buy a Tempur. It took me about three weeks to be comfortable with mine and now, like other posters, I won't go away without taking my pillow too.

Jap200 I'd go for the queen shaped pillow as it allows for sleeping on your back or side AND provides support too.
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

I looked at these today in Walsall and the ones there have holes in the middle, old stock maybe?
