LOL this is in danger of turning into an Abbott & Costello sketch. Try on the Snoring & Sleep Apnoea forum it is a small forum but I have found the people over there very friendly & helpful.Booo!!!0

Are you using the right sized nose peice for your face? I was given a large once by accident and it was horrendous (im a medium), all the problems you list happened to me. The swelling could be that you have the velcro straps too tight, you do need them as tight as you think. The other alternitive is to use a nose mask, which has 2 small pipes that fit just inside your nose rather than wearing an actual mask. It took me a long time to finally get comfortable with mine, dont get me wrong I hate using it but it doesnt disrupt me as much as It did.0

Thanks a lot.
I hava a full face mask (all 3 of them) and 2 size S and one size XS - they fit fine to start with but after few hours all of them start leakind like hell.
My pressure is set to 18.4 (based on the overnight study this is what I need) and it seems to push the mask away from my face.
Nose only mask would not work as I breathe through my nose AND my mouth during sleep.
The full face one with 2 thingys going INTO the nose - tried that but with such high pressure like mine - no way I could use that.
It is just so frustrating.....
Yes, I know about other specific forums but I stick to here for everything....thanks..0 -

Yup - and it takes a week or so to have the first post "approved" and showing?0 -
My pressure is the same as yours, your right it is quite fierce when it gets going. The whole point of wearing it is to keep you from being less tired and make your days generally problem free but its not like that for you. I know you feel desparate but I think £20 a month is an awful lot to pay. I think you need to go back to clinic and demand that they help you, if they cant come up with a soloution you could ask if the pads are available on prescription? Good luck.0

Also ask at the clinic can you try a med and a large, it wont hurt to try them out for a few nights, maybe your ones are too small? When I was given the large size I felt as though it fitted perfect, it was only after about 2 weeks I realised something was up.0

Thanks - the mask size is defnitely right.
I have actually emailed them last week asking about supplying the liners or a prescription for those (I got a pre-payment cert) - but I doubt those are available on prescription.
£20.00 per month is an awful lot for me...0 -
I have a nose only mask and was told if I had issues with breathing through my mouth in my sleep I could have a chin strap fitted to keep my mouth closed. would this be of benefit to you?0
-
NO idea really as I breath through both mouth and nose and frankly at my witts end now as really do not get any sleep - never mind quality sleep....
Thanks for posting0
