Did you manage to get anything sorted about the holiday that you won?

I haven't heard back from Capital FM as yet but I'm not quite sure if the holiday will be feasible now while she has no mobility and I don't think that the Vitalise holiday home will be able to provide the level of care that she needs

I think that I will update Capital FM and ask them given the circumstances would it not now be possible for them to just give the £500 spending money that was included with the original prize
  • Fingers crossed for that then, it would seem very churlish of them not to honour at least that part of the prize. Best Wishes to you both, you know that we're always here if you need to vent or just need to talk at any time x

  • Big hugs to you amilucky? I am sure that Alice would muc rather be at home with you than in a home somewhere. I am sure from all your past posts that you will do everything you can for her. Wishing you much love.

Just nearly broke my neck running to answer door :rotfl: fell over my hair dryer cord. Parcel man has bought my photo order, the travel straighteners i ordered and my fruit salad and black jack sweetie win.

Can a girl finish doing her hair in peace now as been disturbed twice :D

Good to hear that Alice is getting better and is allowed to come home where she belongs. She will feel much more comfortable being surrounded by the familiar.

Well the postie better had come today. We surely cant go 3 days with no post can we.

I died my hair this morning with 2 boxes of the hair dye I won, The main part is great, but my roots are a little bright so Im not sure if Im 100% happy with the colour, but I have got another 7 boxes to use. It will be fine. I'll get used to it.

My brother loves dying his wife's hair and has offered to do mine too. Hubby told me he would do it for me so I got two dyes as my hair is very long. He used most of it on the length and forgot about the roots so I was still left with grey strands! Gonna ask bro next time! :p

Nothing in the post today except postal surveys. Wonder how many more I'll get as I'm supposed to be rested for a while from doing them, that was around six weeks ago!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

I sent them an email to say
that given the circumstances do you think that Global Radio/KLM might have a change of heart and be able to bend the rules just a little bit and allow me to take the £500 spending money that was included with the original prize so I can buy Alice something nice for Christmas

and that maybe I should write to Martin Lewis and ask him to write an article about what has happened to me and go public about Global Radio/KLM's meanness towards somebody who's wife has a terminal illness
there was a lot more in my email but I have snipped it to help cover there embarrassment :o:o

I have just received a call from the PR company involved and a £500 cheque will be in the post today!

oh the power of Martin Lewis and MSE just a mention of his name and the forum and things begin to happen  :money:
many thanks everyone for all of your kind messages and support and I wish you all the very

    Best of Luck :)
  • Thats good to hear Amilucky. Glad you are getting something.

Now my hair is drying (I hardly ever dry it myself) its looking better. A bit brighter than it used to be, but its not as bad as I first thought.
