    Morning all

Hope everyone is well. Enjoy your holiday skippy and well done on the wedding dress.

Sheils hope you get the email thing sorted. Is it from a hotmail account? You need to change your password.

Wishing everyone a good day with some nice surprises.

It isn't from my email address Becks, it just has my name on it.
Wingo says she has had a few with different friends names on them. I imagine they have a virus link on them. :(

    Morning all,

You are getting into the pics now Sylvia - wel done!

Not very nice here today but hopefully it will brighten up. Have mountains of yesterdays washing to iron - ugh!

  • Sheils it is quite worrying. I sometimes get emails from friends addresses with links in but never click anything as I know if my friends are emailing me they would chat too and not just write a link. But for it not to come from your email address but with your name is a new one on me i will have to keep my eyes open.

Well done sylvia on the pics. Proud of you ... There will be no stopping you now .

    Hiya everyone!

sorry I've not been around much or been in the inn for a while :o

I haven't read much of this thread, so lots of hugs and kisses to those that need them,

skippycat hope you have a wonderful time in Rhodes it's a wonderful place to have a wedding

thought that I would share my good news after 5 weeks in hospital Alice was declared medically fit by the doctor yesterday and is going to be allowed to come home a week today, unfortunately she has not regained her mobility from her fall and has become incontinent during her stay in hospital so she will need a lot of care and support by the social services team and me

they are going to provide her with a hospital air bed due to her having bed sores and she will also need to be turned in bed every 4 hours but at least she will be able to watch TV and get back to some form of normality

as you may know if you have read my earlier post's in other threads the doctor advised that I put Alice in a nursing home where she would receive 24 hour medical care so it was quite a struggle to get her back home

during her 5 weeks in hospital Alice was constantly upset and crying a lot and she was frightened to death that she was going to be left in hospital and was constantly saying that she wanted to go home, I told the doctor about this and he still suggested that the best place for Alice would be in a nursing home how heartless can he be? would he have said the same if it was his wife, mother or grandma or dependants? I wonder

she may now not receive 24 hour medical care as provided by the nursing home but she will receive 24 hour tender loving care from me and the best support that social services and the district nurse can provide

I'm just a little bit scared now that I know she is coming home, I just hope that I can cope, and that I have made the right decision and I prey to god that her health doesn't worsen because of my decision to bring her home

    Best of Luck :)
  • Hi Amilucky, I don't know you but read your earlier posts. It is indeed a difficult decision to make. i admire you tremendously for your courage and love for your wife and hope all goes well for you. Just make sure that you get all the help you can from the services that are available to you. And most all make sure that you look after yourself too. Good luck.

  • Hello Amilucky? Thank you for letting us know how Alice is getting on. I often think of the pair of you.

I am sure Alice will be better at home where she is loved rather than just one of many in a care home.

If you have time pop in to the inn when you can and let us know how both of you are doing.

    Take care

  • Good Morning all, a bit later today as I made a start on the dailies and got a bit carried away. Problem with doing them so early is that a few of them haven't updated questions etc yet so I've got to remember to go back to a few.

Thanks for keeping us updated Amilucky, It's good to hear that Alice is being allowed home, but you have to look after yourself too, please don't run yourself into the ground. Did you manage to get anything sorted about the holiday that you won?

Back later, have a good day everyone x

Morning everyone :) lovely to see all the pics in the inn, really brightens it up.

Hi Amilucky, I know from your previous posts that you've always stood by Alice no matter what so I'm certain you will get through this and cope well when Alice is home :) you probably weren't coping as well with her being in hospital so it will be nice to have Alice home. Sometimes the authorities just think the easiest option is to put the patients in a nursing home but I think they forget about others feelings! Do take time out for yourself too and take care. Hope Alice is on the mend soon xx

Sheils, when I clicked on the spam link first without knowing it was just a blank page taking ages to run then I realised it must have been spam. That's what annoys me about Facebook, how the spammers managed to get hold of your email address and friends lists.

Hope the postie brings something nice for everyone ;) sick of waiting for mine...
