StokieBecks wrote: »Zombie there is usually a thread with all the advents on but you will usually find if its a different prize each day you HAVE to enter on the day for that prize. Thats the trouble with advents they aren't really long dated comps just a series of short one day comps every day of December :rotfl:
So its a bit like the glamour ones then? There is a different prize each day which you have to enter each day for that prize, but its one long comp so will have one thread for each site. I usually miss the Glamour ones for a few days. Though if there is a thread with them all on I should find them easily.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

Just a quick hello as DD got a pamper party today. Taking the choc fountain with me so I will be having fruit choc skewers  although I'd rather have fire**flys breakfast!

Hey everyone.
DH has band practice both today and tomorrow as they have a gig next week so it's just the cat and myself. Not sure what to do today. I can't do alot as I need help with alot of things so might just watch TV and re-install all the programs that were on my laptop before I had to do a factory reset.
Really sad that I lost alot of photos.
I did the advents religiously last year but I don't think I'll have the time to do them that much this year due to Dexter being born.lol. I might be able to get some in when he's sleeping or when MIL is here helping though.
Hope you all have a lucky day.2019 Wins

LadyM, have you thought of getting an external hard-drive? You can copy all files to it regularly and then nothing gets lost when your laptop/PC dies. I have one and it's great for pictures/important stuff. (or even better a solid state hard-drive, they're meant to last 1000 years. Bit pricier though!).
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
Well I am having a completely dipsy day. Can't get anything right.
1. Peeled a load of veg for soup - put it on - came back - didnt seem to be getting any hotter - turned it up - came back. Got the wrong ring on and my empty steamer was almost ruined.
2. Thought I had put the washer on - went away, as you do, came back - hadn't pressed the button properly - hadn't even started.
3. Tried to set up my sister on MSE so logged out set her up, came back to my computer and hour later thought I would catch up on the inn - looked to see where I had left off - went right back to Melvis's post at 11.23pm last night before I realised I wasn't logged in as me.
Anyone else having a bad day?BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

I already have one.
I usually backup to it religiously but the one time I hadn't for a month (I take alot of photos!) and my laptop dies on me.
I have a really bulky harddrive so thinking of getting one of those portable ones that just plugs in via USB because then I'm more likely to remember to backup as I can keep it on the coffee table and then when I see it, it'll twig that I haven't backed up in a while!2019 Wins
