I had another small win on my dailies this morning with 1000 nectar points. I'm going to be sorry when September ends it's been so lucky, haha.

yep, i got them fresh laid this morning :j
bought some apples as well to make a crumble
then when i got home there were 2 bags which a neighbour had dropped off for me :eek::rotfl:
so now have loads of them :rotfl:
looks like it's going to be a baking day tomorrow :eek:
off out for a pub dinner tonight though :j:D

The last time that I made an apple pie I put it back into the oven to cool and forgot it was in there. I put the grill on at teatime for some kebabs we had made and set light to the pie and burnt out the oven I was without a cooker for 4 days. It did look nice before that too.

Just rang our local dairy to cancel Dad's milk for a while and was speaking to a girl with an accent. I asked her what her accent was and she said "You've been transferred to a Call Centre in the Philippines!!!" Unbelievable!

since moving in this place worst thing i've done is left a pizza in the oven & had gone out in the gardens when the fire bells started up went back into the flat & the kitchen was all smokey :eek::o
had to open the windows quick & switch off oven, felt awful as a few of the residents had started coming out & i had to explain it was a false alarm i'd only been here a few months as well so that made it worse :eek::o

It's so easily done. I wouldn't mind but I'm not the best at making pastry and I had made some that included ground almonds that had turned out really well. Luckily our home insurance was brilliant and it was all sorted out quickly. Took ages to get rid of all of the extinguisher powder everywhere though. It got onto the kebabs too, so we didn't even get those.
