Had chicken dinner FireFly, not roasties though. So glad your coffee morning went well and you were able to raise a nice amount of money for a fantastic cause.

Glad you are having a good time Sheils, never mind the comps, they will still be there when you get home, just have a good time and relax

:jgreat pics sylvia :T:j:T loving them :j

thanks :A it was a couple whose daughter had sadly passed away a few years ago that held the coffee morning/do,
though we all chip in donating stuff & baking goodies/help on the stalls/etc,
it's a community thing in the retirement flats where we live,
fantastic bunch of people & there's always something going
    on regarding raising funds/etc :j
macmillan are close to my heart though as my dad passed away with cancer & SIL's OH has been diagnosed with lung cancer, it's good to be able to help in a way :)

seems very quiet in here tonight  is everyone comping to catch up end of the month comps

I woke up and did some more stuff. That stuff included mentally noting the seasonal conditions, amongst other things.
Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

Hi FireFly, If I am donating it will always be to a Cancer charity, kids or other. I also lost my Father to stomach cancer when he was 49 so its always close to my heart too. so sad to lose to this awful disease.
Such a waste of a life.

Well done on your Rubbersole win B.Sue.

Amilucky, good on yer for standing your ground with regards to Alice's care. I can imagine Alice would have felt she had lost her dignity if she had to urinate in a pad....plus there is more risk of bed sores! It's so difficult to get past all the red tape these days when it comes to manual handling. I'm glad Alice has got you there with her every step of the way :Alook after yourself too :)

Sue, well done on your win! :j Better late than never! :D

Sounds like you're enjoying yourself Sheils :)

Fire**fly, well done on the raffle win too ;) wouldn't it be great if there was a real cure for every cancer going. I've donated £3 month to cancer research ever since I started working when I left school and just kept it going. I do get asked to donate more or to other charities too but I just can't do it as much as I'd like to.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
