To be honest Becks, if I had bought mine I would have been a bit disappointed that I had paid so much for one. I'm not overly impressed with it., I'd use my laptop over the iPad any day. I only think about using it when the Laptop is switched off and I just want to check something online quickly.

Yes Becks, its so easy to be tempted these days with all the advertising and offers but its certainly not worth going into debt just to get one is it. When you are on a fixed income like us on a pension or low wages you have to be really careful with your money or you could easily run into debt. We have our car on hp but everything else we try to save up. Did you manage to get the kitchen done yet? We have our hall to do, got the paint but not got started yet as trying to get fencing in the garden done before winter. Don't know if you have a Yorkshire Trading shop where you live, we have one in Durham, you can get the once dulux at 9.99 instead of 19.99 as long as you have not got a particular colour in mind as the choice is limited but a big saving.

Trimmed bushes this afternoon Sylvia so wasn't under any ladders!
Neighbour started cutting on her side too which was handy as we don't really know whoses bush belongs to who -they just merge.
Do like a good laugh too.

Would like an ipad for taking on holiday with me but would never buy one. DSs say it would be a waste of money anyway so got to listen to them.

Yes Sheils, I think an Ipad is something that if I won one I would keep as it would be handy for when the DGK's come but wouldn't buy one.

Done last weeks mags, just got the puzzler type ones to do now. It always seems time consuming as I do my them for my DH as well and he does my daily's which I hate to do. Good system going anyway.

Becks, don't do it! I'm sure you'll win an iPad soon! I try not to get into any debt as it soon creeps up on you. I was lucky enough to win my iPad too but as Sue said, there is some things you can't do on them.

You sound like you've been busy in the garden Sheils! my dad hates seeing a messy bush so he even cuts the neighbours for them! He gets so bored since he retired.

Watching X Factor but i am a bit behind as my dad rang just as it started :rotfl:

Am feeling a bit fed up that its back to work tomorrow . Hate sunday shift lol but it is time and a half pay so needs must.

We're recording XFactor as DH has been getting ready for work. DD has just given me a manicure, I'm sporting 'Berry Berry Broadway' this week, a lovely deep red with a touch of gold, very nice. She has just completed a course in manicures so she is now certified to charge for doing nails. Lots of her colleagues are queuing up to get their nails down in their lunch hour. Hopefully she will be able to make a little extra to pay for all of the polishes that she buys.

Well done to your DD Sue, good on her for trying to make herself a bit of extra cash. I would love to be able to do classy nails like that, it's amazing what you can put on your nails these days.

If anyone buys the sun I think theyre putting money off coupons in this week. Might be for supermarkets or high st stores. Today's was a fiver off £25 in bhs. Also in the star every Saturday there's a free coupon for a health lottery ticket. Our newsagent cuts the coupons out first and prints them off on a morning as the machine is slow!

Just finished watching Xfactor with the DGD, did anyone see that lad walk off stage, such a shame for the other two performing with him.
