Hi everyone, I've been away on holiday for a week.

I got quite excited to check my 'winner' folder on my e-mails but sadly no WEM's

Oh well, going to get stuck in for a while with a nice glass of red and catch up on some recorded tv

Another win for me a Daybreak/Persil Kit Bag. Plenty in it to keep young children amused. My DGD's birthday next week so added it to her presents. My other DGD's birthday in 4 weeks so she is getting the Purple Cat with her presents.
Plenty of Inn news to catch up with.

Morning all,

Thanks for all the kind words about my concern for DS1 and his travelling. He is now sitting having a beer in Darling Harbour, Sydney! Took him 41 hours from leaving our house to entering Sydney Airport so he should sleep tonight. If DS2 goes in a few weeks time I am insisting he gets a direct flight with Quantos or BA.
Always fancied visiting Sydney..................

Glad your Son has arrived safely sheils. What a journey eh? My DD leaves tomorrow for her Memphis win. I won't be able to settle until she has arrived safely. then they pick up a car and stay somewhere different every night. I shall be a wreck!

Sheils i am glad your son has finally arrived he must be exhausted.

Sue your daughter will have a fab time i am sure.

Know what you mums mean though about worrying. My mum was same when my sis was away travelling and in some respects i was too.

Serious lack of motivation this morning so my plan is to sit at the PC and comp until DH decides to get up i think thats fair for a saturday morning :rotfl:

Gosh that was a long flight sheils! So pleased he arrived safely. We never stop worrying do we, no matter how old they are! Will you be off to Sydney next year then for a wee visit?:D

Pleased your health check went fine. I am full of cold at the mo, haven't had a cold for yonks - me hearings gone temporarily so ...... everyone says I am SHOUTING!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:I'm sure im not but as the ears are blocked - perhaps I am - can't really tell .

Beaut day here so getting washing out and making the most.

Memphis sounds great Sue. Loved the time we toured about the states and stayed somewhere different nearly every night.
DS1 used to worry about us when we went away on holiday too - got a real telling off once for not texting when we got home! It is great being able to text from everywhere now though.
Have always wanted to go to Sydney Alf but with two teenagers who don't want to travel or come with us any more we will have to wait I think. Will have to see if DS1 gets a permanent job. I think he will stay there if they pay him enough. Would really want to travel quite a bit if we went so would prefer kids to be older when we left them.
I will do any comps I see though! Hope your cold gets better soon.

Good luck with the comps Becks. DH will be dragging me out for a walk soon.

Morning all,

Nice sunny day here so got my washing out nice and early. I just got a Daybreak/Persil sports kit in the post along with some redbush tea samples (which I've been wanting to try since reading No1 Ladies detective books).

Also I've just agreed to take over on the monthly TAB Sudoku mag postings, so wish me luck with that. I'm glad to be contributing at last, I've been wanting to for a while now.
