Cheap decent accomodation in New York??

We stayed Shelburne Murray Hill in March which was clean, comfortable, good value and well located in midtown Manhattan, not far from the Empire State and Grand Central.

So $300 + tax per night is good value

at least the New Yorker Ramada is only $220 + tax- another bargain

Really depends on your definition of a bargain, and how you utilise sites such as hotel.com, priceline, laterooms etc.

We paid much less than $300+tax per night, it worked out as $266 per night including tax for a suite. So we found it good value for the facilities and the location.
