Judi, sistercas and Molly Well done to your children on their exam results.

Take away tonight to celebrate!:D0 -
Well done to your son too Moorhen xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon all
Well done to everyone with good results!
I've had a brilliant day outwent to local castle to explore, then for walk on beach and spot of lunch, followed by a quick trip to shops.
No plans for tonight. I do fancy doing something but it seems everyone else is busy. Ah well, I have a few busy days coming up so a night in is probably best. I fancy pizza or chips for dinner so may be naughty and go get a takeaway.
I made a Malteasers tray bake this morning, which I'll take with me when I go out with friends tomorrow.

Hi.
Well done all you successful GCSEers. I'm waiting breathlessly for my DGD to email me to let me know how she has done. Nothing so far. Either the results were so brilliant that she's off celebrating or she did so badly she can't bring herself to tell me. I guess she has just forgotten that she has an off-shore Granny panting to know how she did.
We had a Manse inspection today - happens every year. Cue a lot of unaccustomed activity with mops, dusters and vacuums. No need, she came into the kitchen, asked if we had anything go wrong, we mentioned something we were promised last year that never materialised, she wrote it down and vanished. So now I have a beautifully tidy looking house. Just don't let anyone open a cupboard or drawer!
I have been sooo careful what I have eaten this week - not one biscuit, nothing with sugar in, just small amounts of protein with lots of fruit and veg but I am sitting here feeling as though I am bursting out of my clothes and when I stood on the scales this morning I had put ON 2 lbs. :mad:
Must get back to publisher and the magazine.

Well done to all the exam takers, time to relax for a bit now.
BBird- no pay, thats a bit cheeky
I was expecting my DB and niece today, but he got delayed so is leaving it till tomorrow hopefully.DN2 wanted a baking session, and I'd already got the stuff out so made a jam sponge anyway, and another small one i decorated for a friend of DS who is 30 today and doesnt have any family around to make a fuss of him.
Went with my SisIL to a beauty event at a dept store last night as DN1 was doing the demo, which was nice,& canapes and stuff, then had a wander round looking at clothes, bags and other goodies. We had a good catch up too, which rarely happens as she works long days.
Got carried away ironing while watching a Hairydieters I'd recorded, before I knew it DH & DS2 arrived home and tea not started-luckily it was quiche ,only needed warming up.
Hope everyone has a good evening x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
