What is Tesco/ASDA coupon policy?

Really disappointed after yesterday's visit to my local Tesco Extra. One of my favourite cashiers (who used to scan all coupons I gave him in the past) told me he couldn't accept coupons anymore - change of policy in my store apparently. I've got loads of manufacturers' coupons, all in date and non store specific, which I guess I'm going to offer for swaps on Paid to Shop, sending them to good homes.

I'll try to use coupons again next week. In case the local policy has changed for good, I'm sure this is going to be Tesco's loss only: from now on I'm going to use Lidl and Morrisons even more often than before.
