Asda magazines at the moment.Years ago when I used to work at the hospital I cut out all the coupons from magazines left behind by patients and used them towards my shopping. The supermarkets weren't so strict then and just accept if they sell the products.
  • what about tesco coupons they send with my name on?
i got sent some a while back which said £9 off a £60 spend but i would never spend that amount but my friend would and was wondering if she could use them on her clubcard with my name on?

no she can't but there's nothing stopping you going with her to use it on your card for her shopping
  • ok cheers wurley but she collects points too.

That shouldn't put her off - she would only get 60 points on a £60 shop and even converted to deals thats not worth as much as your £9 off coupon. Surely she'd see the sense of giving you her 60 points in exchange for using your voucher ?

where do you all get your coupons from????

You'll get about £50 worth here - might take you 1/2 hour or so to apply though.

I had a checkout supervisor last week telling me I shouldn't be mortified at her sifting through my vouchers, that she applauded people who used clubcard and money off vouchers and that my embarassment at the till when she was called, should toughen me up for next time.

She clearly stated that if I had 20 non-identical vouchers then I was most welcome to use them at her store. HOWEVER, the toiletry ones she insisted should only be one per transaction and I should use them that way. She also said the same about the clothing ones but let me use several clothing vouchers in one hit.

I said I was worried about being known as a voucher user and she said it wouldn't happen in her store and that all staff are trained to take the non-identical vouchers without delay and fuss.

She even scanned my £12 off a £80 spend from Sainsburys !!!

funny really as at another store I have had the complete opposite reaction.

Tesco: always pick a young lad, even if it means walking pointlessly up and down an aisle near your 'chosen one' until his queue is shorter!

I don't know if it's just my Tesco but I think they've been reading this thread and been training all the young lads in coupon rejection techniques - the last few I've tried have all said "I'm sorry, but did you actually buy the product?" I've had more success with the middle aged ladies!

Maybe you're just losing your charm. I chose the younger girls. Works fine for me ;)

I must just add my tuppennyworth and say I don't know why you were told 'no' she can't use them? She can, particularly if she uses her keyfob Clubcard if she's worried about the surnames not matching. She could probably also use them at Asda if her local accepts them, some do.

That's why there are always so many of these on eBay, I have often bought the Sainsbury's ones on ebay when they've been badly listed so not got many bids ;) . They are acceptable at Tesco, it's their policy to take them (and they scan without buying the minimum amount....and outside of the stated week too, either early or late).

If you're not gonna use them don't hesitate to pm me as I would be happy to swap something for them and will give them a good home where they will be used! Sorry couldn't resist, please don't bin them!
