If it is a genuine google streetview car, I wonder if they are using it for research in some way - testing the communication between the car and the equipment receiving the data or something like that.

I wouldnt know - I have better things to do with my time than google cars .
but then, our car is probably only used for twenty minutes a day unless its Thursday - then its used for over an hour to enable me to go shopping. and a couple of times a year .......shock ..........we drive to a holiday destination and use it to drive around there. then its back to its home outside our house. OH uses his van for work and I dont drive - so most of the time the car is immobile outside the house. If my nieghbours in the next couple of streets want to spend their time watching my car on google - I would say - get a life!

Wow judgemental much? You obviously spend the better time you have not googling cars, attacking people. EVEN if your very (imo) idiotic interpretation of the post was correct- who are you to judge ... perhaps in fact it is you whom should get a life?

I'd just ring google and ask. I saw a google car in Norwich recently and the equipment was far more modern than the photo's above. And yes we did get pretty excited about spotting it!!

perhaps I have misinterpreted the post - it wouldnt occur to me that a car would be used to film streets and parked there for months. or that it would have a sign saying 'Google Car'!
hmmmm - a car displaying google car signage - is that to warn people that they are being filmed for posterity?
lol oh hang on - the guy up the street works for Sky - his van is parked outside all night (and the better part of the day). does that mean that Sky is watching us?

Gosh, why so mean? Really, I am interested... the OP doesn't seem offensive, so why the need to come out fighting?

I'm glad you quoted her posts, she'll come back later and claim to have no recollection of making them.

That's why I did it... it's bizarre really, almost Jekyll and Hyde, sometimes helpful and sometimes attacking... :undecided:undecided:undecided:undecided.

Having been on the receiving end of both sensible advice and unprovoked meanness from that poster I'm totally perplexed - I suspect .....
