Three declined upgrade
Hi I am a three mobile customer to which i have three accounts two on sim only and other 24 month contract i had come to the end of my 12 month on sim only and was told i could upgrade to a full 24 contract and recive a new phone I took a visit to the shop and after all paperwork and checks i was declined due to credit checks. the new contract was for my partner whoose phone was badly needing replaced so i thought it would be best to go for the upgrade option the strange thing is that the new phone was exactly the same price as the sim only so no more cost involved for me and as i am already a customer and that i pay every month on time with no missed payments i couldnt see a problem. nut still decline they are happy enough to carry on for another 12 month on sim only surely thisdont make any sense I am considering cancelling my account with them. what else can i do .thanks in advance

If the new contract is for your partner then why don't you get your partner to apply for their own contract?
How to sort it? Sort out your bad credit.0 -
Thanks but i dont have bad credit.0

If you already have contracts with them and they have declined you a new one due to a credit check then it sounds like you might have a problem. Get copies of your credit report from Experian and Equifax and see if there are any problems that need sorted.0

All I can think of is that either:
- Information was accidentally entered incorrectly during the application process
- They have a new unwritten rule to not allow so many contracts to one individual. Anti drug-dealer provision maybe, I'm no expert though!
Sorry I can't be more help.Saving in 2013 (#98): £270/£30000 -
i have recently moved house also could this be a factor0

Are you on the electoral register for the new address? If not then this would cause some problems.0

I may not be on it at the moment,,,,no drugs being dealt. the other sim only is for my son.0

Sorry Derek, I wasn't suggesting you were supplying anything
It sounds like the electoral role question is the most likely bit here. Contact the council and they'll let you know what to do.
Leave it 2-3 months and apply for the contract again, as the credit agencies would have updated by then with your new electoral information. :TSaving in 2013 (#98): £270/£30000 -
thats ok no offence taken i understand what u were saying i will contact the council in the morning its the only thing i can also think of0

thee open new accounts for every line you apply for and they run a credit check for each line and upgrade. It maybe that you have too many open lines with them.If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0
