It really depends on my level of enthusiasm that day
Some days I'm in the zone entering everything and some days I feel much more selective.
Obviously I don't enter for things not relevant to me like tickets for things not in my area, baby things or fishing things etc but other than that I'll enter for most things and give them a try/give them away or give to my kids' school raffle to help out.
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -

I enter things that I either want or can give as gifts to family/friends - I don't enter ones that will incur costs such as tickets/holidaysproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

I enter things that I or my DH would like or that I can give as presents.
I also fundraise for a wildlife rescue charity that DH works for so I donate a lot of prizes for their raffles, tombolas etc and give them things they can use e.g. a couple of years ago I won £200 of exterior paint that they used to re-paint their animal A&E. We donate a ladies pampering hamper as a major raffle prize every year and (so far!) have managed to completely fill it with cosmetics and perfume I've won throughout the year.
DH also fundraises for his cricket club so we enter for things that would be good for their raffles.
I find a lot of the pleasure in winning is in giving away the wins, knowing they'll make someone happy or raise money for a good cause.0 -
Thats lovely SueMaggie. Good for you.
Thinking I might need to do similar. Hadn't thought of entering comps where I could donate the prize to various things.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
I enter for things I would like, or could give as presents to the family for xmas.
I am entering for holidays that can be used after August next year as a honeymoonme and OH are getting married August next year and don't think we can afford a honeymoon at the moment so that's something we're really aiming for
I don't usually enter ticket comps but I did win Leeds tickets on the Gaymers FB page (didn't expect to!) but I can't go as I can't get time off work (I have to work on Saturday and BH Monday) so I've given them to a couple of friends to use so they don't get wastedBack to comping after a 3-year hiatus :j0 -
Things I need.
Things I would Like (gadgets...spa days...)
Things my Bf would like
Things My parents would like
Things I could use as presents (Christmas...birthday)
And then things I could donate - such as dog food.
I enter cat competitions as my BF's family have one.
I can't enter holiday ones as I don't have the money to pay for travel, along with things like short breaks.
I don't enter baby ones, Im not planning on children any time soon, neither know anyone who has any.
I dislike it when people enter for the sake of saying 'I've won' When they say 'I don't need this....' when there are people who would love to have won.December Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0 -
