Wish it was 24th Aug (today) as this Southerner is just leaving to go to the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo. Been on my bucket list for a while, and now I'm going to do it :D. Have a great meet, went to one in London a year or two back at it was amazing! Hope yours will be too (of course it will ;))
  • Hi

We'll need to book half the tables at this rate! Where will we meet then and how will we recognise us ? Will we all wear pinnies and black balaclavas? :D

Just to say have a great time all of you at the meet. I am in Scotland but a good 300 miles or so (and some sea) north of Orkney ;). Have fun getting to know each other :).

Oh, skintscotslass, thanks but I'd feel cheeky taking a lift, lol! I am literally just down from the place (well about half an hr-40mins walk maybe I've not walked it in a long time) and the buses are frequent so I won't have trouble getting there it was the home In time for school pickup I was going to stress about but if the meet is when youngest is in full time I have plenty time!

No probs ;)...I know the area really well. I live in Penicuik and am up and down the Straiton corridor all the time (or so it seems, lol) as DD works in Liberton.

So how will we recognise each other? Shall we wear zombie badges or something? :D

Can I come? Will have packed DH off to sandy climes by then, and I will probably need a sensible conversation with someone who doesn't go 'Woof'.

The more the merrier - we need to agree a time and a secret sign and password or you can't get into the ganghut. Some of the London MSE-ers use a safety pin as a sign - can we do that? Have we all got safety pins? :) or kilt pins for the short sighted?
