BB - glad DD had a nice birthday
I had a very nice afternoon out and nice lunch
As well as booking Liverpool trip for March, I have just booked a spa night for me and 3 friends. Our one friend is pregnant again and due in Oct so we are taking her away for the night for a treat in 4 weeks time. Found a bargain spa hotel, £50pp for dinner, bed and breakfast plus full use of spa, and then £10 for a mini 25min treatment. The lady who I spoke with on the reception asked if it was for a special occasion so I explained, and she upgraded our rooms for free too .

Evening everyone, hope you are all OK, hugs for anyone who wants or needs one, I have loads to give away...Not much OS being done here tonight, I am sat on my behind eating an icecream that OH just brought me, dishwasher is loaded and just needs to be switched on before I go to bed to avail of the cheaper electricity. My car is still sick, waiting on a part to arrive from UK, at this rate I could have walked quicker to collect and deliver at this rate, but thanksfully we are not totally carless, we bought much needed second car on Tuesday, 11 years old, but spotless and we are only the second owners so thats good, still wish I had mine back, hate being dependent on others for lifts, but public transport is not good where I live, it would be 2 hours to get to work and another 2 to get home..Also hoping to get the parts for my washing machine tomorrow, really could do without buying a new one, so heres hoping the parts will be available to buy separately. Dad has had his second operation today for glaucoma (sp) and is in a bit of pain he says, I think it is probably more than 'a bit' as he went straight to bed when he came home from hospital, but hopefully this will sort out his eyes and it does not get any worse. Lunch tomorrow will be leftovers from dinner so I suppose thats OS...Good night all, sleep well.Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0

I am far from brave - just stroppy. I have been dying - er tinting er special rinsing my hair since I was in my late twenties and have had enough. Until I was about seven years old my hair was naturally platinum so I am trying to think of it as going back to nature.
Anne Mc Caffrey used to say "My hair is silver and my eyes are green" so if it was good enough for her then it is good enough for me.
I get it cut in a bob but have to watch it does not grow too long or I will look really eccentric which is not a look I aim for.

Surely your DH has changed a bit too? Maybe you were used to him being slim or muscular or having a good head of hair etc.
DH was used to me being tall and slim etc but four dds and three miscarriages and thirty years of marriage etc have taken its toll. He was never sure what my natural hair colour was as I kept getting bored and changing it. DDs say I don't have many wrinkles so maybe the fat is filling things out.
I got fed up arranging hairdressers appointments for dying my hair
as there was always a point I noticed a badger stripe of grey before the next appointment and hair colour never seemed even. Decided I would rather spend money on a good cut and attack my fringe with scissors in between. No one mention Worzel Gummidge please!"This site is addictive!"

Almost to-morrow...been a busy day for me....knitters this am and dinner out with needy cousin this evening.
Have never dyed my hair....was almost 50 before I had a grey hair so no great incentive....laziness had lots to do with it as well. Every so often I have a raging urge to get a mad green or scarlet or some such colour an frighten the he+l out of all my family....think that laziness might be involved in that failure too somewhere!!
Lamb chops, sweetcorn, broccoli and spuds for dinner...was nice and didn't have any pudding as on a 'goodness' kick at the moment, not sure how long it will last! Going to try to eat more veg than fruit, due to sugar levels in latter, noticed when in Oz that they recommend two pieces fruit and 4/5 veg servings....will try that one as it can't do any harm.
Weather not great here, very heavy showers interspersed with sun, no cold, although nights are closing in....
Good luck to all expecting exam results, hugs to all in need or want of one
