I have decided to embrace the inner crone and am about 80%
screaming silver now. If anyone does not approve then they don't have to look ;) Might think about the odd wash in shampoo thing to tone it down a bit if CBA.
If it was just up to me, I would just go silver, too - but Mr LW gets all crestfallen if I suggest leaving it, because he's "always known me with red hair". Similarly, he won't let me cut it, (it's waist-length) because he's "always known me with long hair". *rolls eyes* he has this way of looking - how can I put it - spaniel-ish, too, so that if I ignored him and just did as I want, I'd feel as guilty as if I'd kicked a puppy!

.....I have 2 strings of small and 3 strings of large. Not too impressed with the small onions - they're all supposed to be big :D Every red onion was small, I won't be buying that variety again.

I've fed and [STRIKE]trimmed[/STRIKE] hacked away at the tomato plants. We'll be living on tomatoes right through the winter at this rate :D

The leeks look really strong and healthy, the sweetcorn seems OK but I think we're going to end up with small cobs. Sprouts are doing well and I'm going to check the potatoes today....

My red onions were quite small too - well, the ones that didn't bolt. The ordinary ones range from large to huge - guess it was all the rain! My sweetcorn seems to be very earwiggy :( and the cobs are fat but short.... Leeks & parsnips are looking good, winter / spring caulis are about to go in, beans are producing well now and I have discovered I also have autumn raspberries which will be fab for the freezer! We don't have sprouts (I don't eat them ;)) but we have lots of beetroot! The autumn cabbages are fattening up now too, and the rainbow chard just keeps growing :o

Just came back to say I've spent two and a half hours gardening:eek: My front garden is now terraced, and the poppies had finished, so I tackled the lot. Loads of weeds too that were hidden:mad: Still, it is all done now:T

Taplady Yesterday wasn't a normal day eating, I just didn't feel that hungry! Maybe because I am having a new tablet, and it says in the leaflet that diminished appitite is one of the side effects. Today I have had poached egg on toast for breakfast, and a tortilla wrap with avocado, and salad for lunch. Don't worry, I won't get anorexic!:rotfl:

Managed to get a beautiful blind yesterday, having looked for ages online and several 'real' shops, I finally found one in John Lewis, a beautiful linen roman blind for £22, even the shop assistant commented on how cheap it was, I honestly think it might have been a mistake, but I scarpered pretty quick :D, just curtains to get now.

sounds lovely do you have a picture?

    Sunny and Hot here,

Well Im not long back from the car boot. Just had a salad for my lunch.

The car boot was Good. Busy at times but slow at others.
I'm had Just over £40 and my brother made about £75 So we are both pleased. I got shot of a lot of the girls old books that are now too young for them. Also a few of there clothes.

Dinner tonight will be pizza, garlic bread and chips with salad for all four of us.

All five of my hens are laying well. The young hens are going great with there eggs. We are getting at least two eggs off the three of them everyday. But they are getting even better, The last 3 days all three have given us an egg each a day.
The two older hens are giving us an egg each everyday. So for the last 3 days we have been having five eggs a day.

Well I hope that you all have a great day.

    Enjoy:j:j

Just had phone call saying my job is definitely safe :j woohoo! I was 99% sure it was but you never know!

BB - glad DD had a nice birthday

I had a very nice afternoon out and nice lunch :D

As well as booking Liverpool trip for March, I have just booked a spa night for me and 3 friends. Our one friend is pregnant again and due in Oct so we are taking her away for the night for a treat in 4 weeks time. Found a bargain spa hotel, £50pp for dinner, bed and breakfast plus full use of spa, and then £10 for a mini 25min treatment. The lady who I spoke with on the reception asked if it was for a special occasion so I explained, and she upgraded our rooms for free too .
